Meg X570 Unify doesn't post with ram anything higher than 3200mhz with a Ryzen 5800x

I suggest that you guys that have managed to OC your memory to run Memtest86 to check if it's not full of errors which will eventually lead you to crash.
This test is while running @3200mhz CL-14. After at the default 2133mhz the test gave no errors

Hello,
same Problem here since I upgraded to AMD Ryzen 5600X.

- XMP (1/2) not working (Error-Code: 0d or 07)
- everything over 3200Mhz RAM-Speed (manually) not possbile or with extreme bad performance (latency 200ns)
- 3200 Mhz works, but the Latency is still not good enough with good timings ( arround 5-10ns higher then ASUS, Gigabyte Boards)
- Dragon-Center: Mystic Light does not recognice the RAM (no RGB settings)

My hardware:
- MSI Unify X570 (newest BIOS A70)
- AMD Ryzen 5600X
- G.Skill 4x8Gb 3600 F4-3600C16D-32GTZN
- RTX 3080

With my old Ryzen 3 3100 everything works (RAM 3600 + XMP, RGB).


And anybody who is writing here AMD is supporting only 3200Mhz: look at the specs of the MSI Board, RAM over 4000Mhz+ supported and if that is not true, this is a deception and
not legal.

Alongside points 1,2 and 3 I also have problem with dragon center not seeing my ARGB LIAN LI UNIFAN and my TFORCE RAM as well for rbg settings

I have intermittent crashes with 3200Mhz as well.. not in games [warzone] but when I ran 3D mark it crashes as well

Same issue here
XMP profiles not working resulting in computer not starting up
Setting RAM speed manually to 3200MHz seems to work but everything above delivers the same result as setting xmp profiles

- MSI Unify X570 (BIOS 7C35vA7)
- Crucial Ballistix 64GB Kit (2 x 32GB) DDR4-3600 (BL2K32G36C16U4B)
- AMD Ryzen 5800X
- Radeon RX 580

Tried to raise FCLK in bios or in Ryzen Master and same problem. No Boot, in fact me CPU debug light turns on.

MSI deploys the AGESA fabric that AMD gives them into their motherboard BIOS updates.

Recall how Zen1 and Zen2 BIOS releases were first released as BETAs.

AMD Zen3 AGESA BETA is 1.1xx. So, just as with Zen1 and Zen2, there are going to be "growing pains" in perfecting the performance of Zen3 on BOTH 5xx and 4xx-series motherboards.

MSI is NOT dragging their feet - they are updating Zen3 BIOS as fast as they can as they get the updated coding from AMD.

Just check out other early BIOS flashing examples on other manufacturer boards and you will see the exact same "growing pain" issues.

AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.1.0.0 Patch C is the latest Zen3 BIOS (as of 11/08/20).

So, no - don't blame MSI. This is a rinse and repeat of Zen2 launch and refining of AGESA that we saw since Dec of 2019.

Judging by the extremely low gains I could imagine the higher clocks on the RAM not really properly working..

Just saying, this is AMD's first cut. I wouldn't expect things to work great right off the bat.

i have the same problem with my MEG ACE X570 and Trident Z 3600MHZ (5800X).
The PC runs till 3200 MHZ and everything above is black screen

From what I have heard AMD said it works on these 4 Boards use them for Reviews. At least 2 of the boards were MSI

No problems on the ASUS motherboards (there is no information for others), you do not need to blame your problems on AMD.

Really? I really can't wait weeks or months for a solution.

Hope not that I need to buy a new board, but if MSI don't react in the next week, I have to check for alternative boards.
