I have a Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V 32GB (2x16GB) kit.
I got this motherboard along with a 5800X processor yesterday. The pc won't post if I use the memory higher than 3200 mhz.

Is this going to be fixed at some point or should I just return the motherboard while I can?
I say this very bluntly because lots of people have been having this problem and apparently someone else with the same issue got a ticket response from msi saying 'sorry the new cpu's are only guaranteed to work up to 3200mhz" when we all know that every other brand of motherboards has been having no issues of running compatible memory at their advertised XMP speed. Every review of the new cpu's has been running at least 3600mhz ram. Hell, the last news piece on the msi website brags how they got their memory running at 4200mhz with the new cpus: https://www.msi.com/news/detail/26d2ac2a2d21cce1fdc682bda01ab066

Original comment mentions not being able to POST on the x570 Unify. I'm having this problem.

Others say they can get into bios to under clock or even install Windows but I'm stuck with 0d memory code with patriot viper 4000 memory. I can get into bios with old 2666 memory, but no matter what, when I put in new memory it won't post. I'm on the latest beta bios. Any thoughts on how I can post with my new memory?
TIA

Just fixed up the X570 Unify with the 5900X and I am getting RAM problems as well, just that the difference is that I can only post in single channel. Using slots A2 and B2 gives me the 0d error but using A1 and A2 or just A1 is fine. Tested on both Crucial and Klevv rams which are in the QVL and not working. Switching out to my 3800X and no issues at all.

Hopefully a new bios comes soon.

5900x, MEG ACE x570 and Gskill Trident Royal 4000mhz CL15 and unable to get any stability past 3200mhz and 1600fclk, so it is NOT fixed yet. Using latest Beta bios. Was fine zen2 with a 3900x. Hoping this gets corrected soon.

In my case I have the Godlike motherboard and my Ryzen 5600x ran my current ram in AMP settings just fine at 4000mhz. I swapped in a 5800x and now I have to reset the bios just to get it to post. This is after every reboot. The only bios available is for the access memory update. I will try this BIOS update to see it it works.

Just wanted to let you know that the problems are not always present. I am running the X570 Unify with a 5900x and 3600CL16 memory with XMP on with no errors whatsoever. Full specs in signature.

Hi,

First post here, just to let you know my G.Skill Trident Z Neo F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC (CL16-19-19-39 1.35V) are finally able to run at these XMP timings with the latest 7C35v1D2(Beta version) bios.
I was never able to boot at more than 3200 CL16 stable on my MSI MEG ACE being with my old R7 3700X nor with my brand new R7 5800X (yep I am a luck dog and got one even at MSRP price)
Symptoms were lockup or long boot with sounds hiccups.

So keep the faith were is definitely still some room for compatibility improvements here. I almost switched back to Asus to be honest but now I will wait a little bit ^^

Yes, can confirm same issue here using GSKILL Trident Z 3600, have to run it at manual 3200 speed and 1600 FCLK with XMP disabled for system to be stable.

I have 5950x and 128G G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series running 3600mhz XMP enabled without problems.

I still have BIOS problems so i cannot save any bios settings when all memory modules are installed but I made all necessary settings with 3 modules and added 4th after it and it works so no big deal.

I've just upgraded my computer with additional 16 GB RAM and my computer is still rock solid. 4 x 8 CL 16-16-16-36 kit. Furthermore I found some examples of Curve Optimzer settings and they work great aswell. I've gained 75 Mhz boost.

What frequency?

Someone with x570 Tomahawk or similar can't pass 1866 with IF 1: 1?
Nothing works well above that withs last Tomahawk beta bios and it has been 1 month since there are no bios.
Please I want someone to tell me about memories in 4000 with any IF with these MSI boards.

As stated above, 3600 MHz.
Haven’t tweaked anything yet, I’m just happy it runs rock solid atm. I’ll tweak CPU and ram when they release a new non-beta BIOS. I tried some Curve Optimizer setting, but the 75 MHz boost kind off diminished, so reverted back to stock settings.

strange enough my 5600x and my 3600xt both run the same timings stable only the 3600xt ran 3800mhz where the 5600x runs 4000mhz fclk 2000 at 1.4 volts to where the 3600xt used 1.45volts. i do have some minor adjusting to do. but im on C patch atm. and trying anything with over 3600mhz on D1 is a complete fail. i tried to find any posts anywhere on this matter but couldnt find anything. (tforce dark pro 3200c14 bdie) which should be obvious. the L3 cache is what is concerning to be honest...

I wasn't able to pass over 1600Mhz in FCLK on BIOS 7C56v14 without WHEA errors.
Beta BIOS 7C56v151 fixed this problem, I can use 3600MHz DRAM now
