MEG X870e Godlike - Continous I/O error with USB ports

I have continous i/o error with all my USB ports (id event 153,140,50). I’m using the last available BIOS (7E48v1A62) and the Dinamic Dashboard firmware is also updated.
It's practically impossible to use a USB flash drive to copy files larger than 1GB because the transfer stops after a few seconds. This happens both with the front panel (where even the information that the Super Charger should give me doesn't work) and with the rear panel. I've read in many forums about long-term problems specifically related to USB ports.
My card is two months old…I waited 16 years to be able to change my computer and have the system of my dreams. And now after paying over $1200, do I have to send my card back/RMA???

PLEASE tell me that there is a solution

EDIT:
I noticed that the firmware of the dynamic dashboard is still the original one.... PLEASE forgive me! I was sure I had updated it. :rolleyes-anim: However, today another problem suddenly appeared: the advanced scan from MSI Center does not work (it starts opening thousands of windows cmd.exe). In this regard: is it possible to update directly with the fw recovery tool?

You can try removing DDIII and start your PC with pins on bottom of motherboard just to eliminate DD3 as source of issues.

Personaly I completely removed MSI center as I dont need it and its only caused problems for me, especialy with ledkeeper installed and inability to remove it, spamming my event log with thousands of ledkeeper related errors.

Ok thanks!

That sounds like a Virus or other malicious program

yeah....when I saw that I remembered viruses of the "old age" era :agrees: but luckily I can confirm that it's not any virus

Thanks for suggestion....I'll try also that

Also you can try look at Reliability Monitor app in windows 11, sometimes make it easier to spot critical events, like in my examples windows hagging and network card failing post windows update.

I did the firmware update and for the moment (6 days have passed) everything seems to be working fine. The data transfer speed has also increased noticeably.
The only thing that is still wrong is the Super Charger; indeed, fast charging works great, but I still can't see the information about watts, volts and amps. But this is still a minor problem and I also suspect that it may come from the Corsair front panel. In fact, they sent me a spare part... but unfortunately I always have little time available and I still have to install it.
I will keep you updated on both problems. In the meantime, thank you for the help you have given me!

Unfortunately, the I/O issue of the USB3 ports has not been resolved. Corsair provided me with a new front panel but I am starting to doubt that this is the problem. As soon as I have some time I will do this last test (changing the front panel takes a bit of work...) but if it doesn't work, I'm afraid I'll have to ask for the motherboard to be replaced.

However, today, checking the updates available through MSI Center, I found the availability of another update. But I don't understand if it's a mistake or not, because it says that the installed version is 0401 while online there is 0105. What do I do? Because I had already done the update using the recovery tool... Do you know there is another update? If so, is there a release notes?

This version also showed up for me in MSI Center, it looks like these numbers refer to the month and day.
I installed this update - so far, everything seems fine.

Here’s what I found in the log file MSI_LiveUpdate_2026-05-07.log (C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\Log\LiveUpdate):

2026-05-07 21:13:51:150 >> check PD FW version:
2026-05-07 21:13:51:150 *[PD FW Update] - 0401 (Newer:0105)

2026-05-07 21:22:48:532 >> start install item: [PD FW Update][0105]
2026-05-07 21:22:49:607 waiting for the task to complete.
2026-05-07 21:23:04:780 stop and delete task.
2026-05-07 21:23:04:783 Result: [0408 0408 PASS ]

2026-05-07 21:34:07:405 >> check PD FW version:
2026-05-07 21:34:07:405 [PD FW Update] - 0408

It looks like the version under the hood is now 0408, instead of 0401

did you install via MSI Center?

May I ask you if you have ever had problems similar to mine with USB3 ports?
