Okey, barebones are not my normal field of expertese but this is wierd.

Some relatives bougt a MEGA PC and installed everything according to the instruction manual. The they tried the Hi-Fi mode, exelent. The came the Pc mode. No result at all.
Ok, every connector is in his orignal place. Hdd has been taken out. Processor is ok, tested on other machine. Same with the DDR. No Pci/Agp cards installed so no interference.
I noticed that there were some connectors unused on the motherboard: CN4 (front panel power) and CN5 (Usb connector).
I "think" :rolleyes_anim: that there is a connector missing, the one from the front panel to the CN4 on the motherboard.
There is no power going to the CPU fan, and no signal going to the VGA. It seems like the mobo won't start. like there is no ATX power-on.
If that is so, :help: could someone tell me where that CN4 connector should be?!

Thank you for your help :agree:.

Dont like letting them have no pc around.

Hi There!

Yes I think you are right. CN4 is the connector for the power switch, reset button and HD LED. Your PC power button probably isn't connected to anything hence it won't work!

Try poking around just behind the front panel and see if you can find a loose wire tucked up there. I didn't build mine from a barebones, but it must be there somewhere.

If you're brave enough you could just fit a jumper between pins 6 and 8 - that's the power switch pins and it should all spring into life. See page 2-15 of the manual for the pin-out. But don't blame me if you blow it up! :nono:

Good luck,
