Noch ein Treiberproblem in Windows 11 24H2
Der Leser merkt an, dass er seit dem Upgrade auf Windows 11 24H2 auf mehreren Systemen noch ein weiteres Problem habe. Verschiedene USB-Soundkarten an diversen Systemen werden in einen Stromsparmodus versetzt. Das Aufwachen dauert dann aber wohl eine Weile. Daher werden nach dem Pausieren eines Videos gerne mal 10-15 Sekunden Ton nicht ausgegeben, weil die Soundkarte halt still bleibt. Mit Windows 11 23H2 bestand das Problem noch nicht.

Windows 11: Nebeneffekte beim Februar 2025-Update
Zum 11. Februar 2025 hat Microsoft ja diverse Sicherheitsupdates für diverse Windows 11-Versionen veröffentlicht (siehe Patchday: Windows 10/11 Updates (11. Februar 2025)). Thomas B. schrieb mir per Mail, dass die Installation dieser Sicherheitsupdates interne Security Policies des Betriebssystems anscheinend verschärft.

Er hat beobachtet, dass beim ihm in der Systemsteuerung die Option Kernisolierung und Speicherisolierung verschwindet. Zudem hat er unschöne Effekte beim Installieren von signierten Treibern beobachtet.

Die Lenovo BIOS-Updates (auch aktuelle aus dem Januar 2025) funktionieren nicht mehr, weil der Treiber nicht geladen werden kann.
Einige ältere USB Sound Treiber lassen sich nicht installieren. Installiert man die Treiber vor dem Update laufen sie aber auch nach dem Update problemlos.
Das Lenovo BIOS-Problem lässt sich durch Entfernen des Update vom Februar 2025 beheben – ohne dieses Update werden die Treiber wieder geladen. Kann noch jemand das bestätigen?

Thomas B. wrote to me by email that the installation of these security updates appears to tighten the operating system's internal security policies.

He noticed that the Core Isolation and Memory Isolation option in his Control Panel disappears. He also observed unpleasant effects when installing signed drivers.

The Lenovo BIOS updates (including current ones from January 2025) no longer work because the driver cannot be loaded.
Some older USB sound drivers cannot be installed. If you install the drivers before the update, they will also run smoothly after the update.
The Lenovo BIOS problem can be solved by removing the February 2025 update - without this update the drivers will load again. Can anyone else confirm this?
