Monitor issue

Hi my son's monitor has stopped working. When it's turned on there are white lines which appear horizontal across the top of the screen then the screen turns black.

you should rule out the possibility of cable being bad first, try different port/cable and see if it helps.
And since we don't know which monitor it is, not sure if there's firmware update available.

Thanks the model name is 3CB0. We have tried a different port/cable. Not sure what to do next. He's only had it a couple of years

Then don't think it has any firmware update available, it's about time to check the warranty status and do RMA if it's still under warranty.
It's prob not worthy to pay for repair if it's not.
