GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super
This issue has only occurred the last three times I've been gaming. I'm playing a game for an hour or two and then my monitors lose signal. And the GPU fans rev up to what I assume is max. Everything else appears to be running normally and I can still hear audio.
The first time this happened, I was playing Baldur's Gate 3. After about two hours, my monitors lost signal. I was very surprised since the last time I played, I played for six hours straight without any issues. Then a few days later I was playing Dark Light and after about two hours it happened again. And now today, I'm playing Dark Light and it happened after about an hour of playing.
I thought this might have been a heating issue. Since the last time this happened, I noticed my heat monitor light was in the yellow. Which is very unusual for my PC. Also, the fans revving also made me think that maybe its too hot and trying to cool down. That's just a guess though. So I downloaded MSI Afterburner as a way to manage the GPU fan speed. I just set it on a curve that increased incrementally with each degrees increase. But this obviously didn't help, otherwise I'd still be playing my game.
I'm hoping someone on here can help me diagnose the problem so I can fix it. I'd very much like to get back to my games.
