I'm using DP 2.1 and when I turn off DSC in the settings on the monitor, it won't let me enable HDR in Windows11. I have all the latest firmware installed. Anybody know why I can't turn on HDR?
I'm using a Nvidia Geforce RTX 5080 with the monitor.

I would appreciate any help for this problem.
Thanks

Please refer below links to install driver on this windows system.

It is driver sheet for MPG-322URX-QD-OLED on MSI website.

How to install monitor driver in device manager?

I installed the driver and it still won't turn on hdr in the display settings. If I lower the refresh rate below 240, then hdr will turn on. It won't turn on at 240. What could be the cause of this?

1x DisplayPort Cable (2.1a)

Please use DisplayPort Cable (2.1a).
What are DP2.1 and DP2.1a? The difference you ought to know

That is the cable I'm using, still doesn't work at 240 refresh rate. The older firmware that was on the monitor when I got it worked at 240, but after I flashed the newest firmware it didn't. I wish that I didn't flash it to the newest.

Hi, I am having the same issue this is my DP cable with 80Gbps support and I am also using RTX 5080 with latest drivers installed both on monitor and my PC. When I turned off the DSC at 240Hz it disables HDR on Windows 11.
After trying couple other cables I have purchased, It started working without DSC at 4k 240Hz HDR. Problem is about the cable quality. I would not recommend anybody to use the same cable I was using...

I am hovering over the purchase for this monitor - the 322URX - and I was going to go with it and pay extra for DP 2.1 and have a 5080 myself with the right cable.

Before I make a purchase like this I always go to the forums to see what is maybe causing issues. And from what I can see is MSI launched a bugged firmware and doing nothing about it without any replies or fixes. Is this the case? Obviously things can happen which are user error but sounds like you have the correct cable and you should NOT need to use DSC with 80gb transfer on DP 2.1. If that is the company line I will not purchase this monitor. I was also looking at purchasing from the MSI site here and it sounds like there is literally zero support from when/if the thing will actually ship or not, and I have no shipping options on the site.

i bought the 322URX coz it is the only 32'OLED 4K i found where u can switch off DSC, which imho is the reason to have 80 Gbit/s since i dont need daisy chain etc.
however, if u do so, win11 will turn off HDR.
only the Silkland 2m cable can handle both DSC off & HDR on looking good in games but horrible on characters ...
and yes, my contacts with MSI support were quite frustrating ...
if u check the monitor driver to download on this 322 URX u will find out that it dates back to 2024-12-24 ...
