I have two monitors connected to my RTX 3080, my primary (341CQPX) via HDMI and an LG secondary via displayport. I am on the latest firmware (FW.020)

If the secondary monitor is connected, the 341CQPX does not wake from standby when I turn my PC on, or wake it from sleep (LED stays orange). If I power cycle the 341CQPX, it then turns on (LED goes white) and displays.

If the 341CQPX is the only monitor connected, it wakes from standby correctly when turning the pc on.

I have found that on the monitor settings, if power button is set to 'Standby' instead of 'OFF', the 341CQPX wakes correctly with the second monitor connected. However, this increases the standby power consumption to be 5W, vs <1W when the power button setting is set to 'OFF'.

I am not sure if this is an nvidia hdmi handshake bug or monitor bug (or both?)

Hi, In your case with multi-displays, you may set power button to Standby. Or trying to disable Auto Scan feature to test.

Right, but setting it the power button standby increases the standby power consumption >5x. I feel either this drain needs to be fixed with a fw update or somehow the handshake needs to be fixed with the setting on 'OFF'.

Auto scan does not seem to have any effect.

I have now found that with power button set to standby that monitor does not always work either - especially if the monitor has been on standby for a while.

I encountered the same issue as you. I also connected this model of monitor (341CQPX) with an HDMI cable and experienced a black screen (this occurred on the latest firmware version FW.024).
I didn't find a radical solution, which made my user experience very bad: (
