Hello,
I wonder if someone could answer a question for me?
I have just got a mpg b760i edge wifi motherboard and due to the heatsink/thermal pad/M.2 shield I'm wondering if I need to worry about the cpu cooler fit? I'm using an i5-12600K which has a TDP of 125W and am intending to use air cooler. As it's a mini-ITX case I'm limited in height to about 120mm so low height would be handy.

Thanks for any help/comments.
Steve.

Well, you can either use the Noctua NH-D9L, which is expensive, but delivers good and quiet cooling performance in a small form factor. It's one of the few such tower coolers with only 110mm height. Then you have a vast selection of top-blow coolers, stuff like the be quiet! Shadow Rock LP, Noctua NH-L9x65 chromax.black, and so on.

Which concept is better depends on the exact case, the best airflow path in there. If you use a big top-blow cooler, for sure the M.2 is blocked in, but the coolers will not collide with the M.2 heatsink (as long as you're using the integrated heatsink and no third-party heatsink that's taller).
