I just bought an MPG B850 EDGE TI WIFI and a Geforce RTX 5080 graphics card. The computer starts up and I have managed to install Windows, but using the shared graphics card. Once in Windows, the RTX 5080 appears as an unknown device and does not allow you to install drivers in any way. I have updated BIOS to the latest version, but everything is still the same.

Set the first PCIe slot to PCIe 4.0 instead of 5.0 for a test (don't worry, it doesn't really cost performance). Should be somewhere in the BIOS under Settings\Advanced\PCIe\PCIe Subsystem or so (not 100% sure on B850), called PCI_E1 Gen Mode, set to [Gen4].

Thanks for your help, I had already tried that option but it doesn't work either. An unknown device appears in device manager and Nvidia Software says there is no Nvidia device. Tried to force install the driver but it doesn't work either. The fact is that I don't even see the Bios, only because of the shared graphics

hi, i have the same problem :
i installed my MSI RTX 5080 gaming trio OC on a Gigabyte AORUS ELITE X WIFI 7, and i NOT see in the BIOS the MSI card ...
Motherbooard bios is the latest

now i use the IGFX integrated
someone find a solution ?

Again, what's the PSU and how have you wired everything up? Can you show a photo of the system? But we are in the MSI motherboard section, without an MSI motherboard. So maybe also post on the Gigabyte forum.

Also try reseating your video card. Try a few times. I helped someone on reddit with a similar combo a while ago and that was the solution. Might not be properly inserted. At least, this way, you make sure it's not this issue.

I also have this problem but I have a TUF B850 WiFi E. Is there a known problem with this chipset and card combo?
