I am just feeling a bit of buyers remorse with this AIO cooler... it was misleading advertising and made me think that I could display my own gifs on it. What it was basically saying in reality was you can display gifs (one of the 3 that MSI provides, that are lame, sorry) OR you can use your own custom images (that are only .bmp files, and are static.)

So is there ANY plan to allow users to upload their own animations to the LCD screen with software updates? Clearly the technology is there on the hardware itself, but your software is just lacking?

Or is it actually already capable and I am just missing some step to get it to work? Obviously like everything else these days there is little information provided with the product, so I have googled this and found nothing either. I tried to just rename a .gif a .bmp but it doesn't animate.

Yeahhh... i got that is has to be 320x240 or 240x320 if vertical, but a .bmp isn't an animated format. And if you rename a .gif a .bmp it will animate like 3 frames of it really slowly and looks awful. Thanks for the reply though.

I'm following this post. I cant help to think there is a way to achieve this. There are preloaded animations so its capable for sure. Any more info anyone has will be greatly appreciated!

Maybe I am not understanding your issue completely, but if you create it as a .gif then you can load it as such. There is no need to rename it to a .bmp. Also, renaming a file to a new file extension is not the same as converting it. I have not tried creating my own, but I was able to download and install a .gif that is 426x421 and is 12 frames. It crops the image but appears to play the full frame list. The file that I used was; https://usagif.com/gif/globe-40/ . Hope this helps
