Installed Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR4 3600MHz Ram(4-8GB sticks) but only showing 2133MHz in Bios. Tried XMP mode to auto detect, boots twice shuts down immediately then sets it to 2133MHz then it works also tried manually putting in the numbers (no go until i set it to 2133) What am I doing wrong does it need bios update or is it even compatible ? I can't remember what Version of Bios is in there but it was a 2019 version. Any help would be appreciated Tks

Hi,
What CPU are you using?
Updating your board to the latest BIOS should enable you to set RAM speed up to your CPUs specified RAM speed, but faster settings (RAM overclocking) are unstable with current BIOS.

if you're not using Ryzen 3000/5000 CPU, you might cap at 3000mhz. Can you post picture of memory sticker here? are those RAM coming from the same kit?

After checking the Ram which I should've done in the 1st place, it turns out they gave me 2-8 gb sticks that were 3200 and 2-8 gb that were 3600. They had no stock more stock of 3600 so I just replaced with two more 3200. Lesson to be learned check before leaving the store my bad feelin like a dumb ass Lol.

This should work up to 3200 Mhz. I would update BIOS; should run on default with this speed.😀

still better if you can get 4 memory stick kit rather than 2 x 2 memory stick kit.
if you haven't noticed, 4 memory kit actually sells more expensive than 2 x 2 memory kit for a reason O0
