I bought this motherboard a week ago (MPG X870E CARBON). It looks it is working really strange sometimes. I have display DELL P2723QE and I connect this display to motherboard using usb-c. My processor is AMD 7950D3X. So, the problem is the next: Some period of time the display works correct and all additional usb ports work good. But after restart or the long period of idle it doesn't work at all, the display doesn't work and all ports don't work. The restart doesn't help. But it can start to work spontaneously. Can some out help to understand how to resolve this problem, please?

For example, it started to work for now. I tried to charge some device, it was the bluetooth speaker and after when I tried to connect my display, it spontanueosly started to work

Any odd behaviour that could be due to a BIOS bug, especially on a newly released board with an immature BIOS, you should always test the latest beta BIOS first. If it's really fixed in there, then anything else you try would be a waste of time.

If you buy a brand new board that has just come out, you're an early adopter, wether you knew it or not, and sometimes you have to put up with things like this. MSI can only test so much in-house, but once the board starts being sold, that's when all the different configurations can uncover bugs. The early adopters will report those bugs back to MSI, and MSI can hopefully fix them. Within a few months, the BIOS matures and the biggest bugs should be taken care of.

Would you be able to test a different monitor over USB-C? Also can you try this monitor using HDMI?

Hi
So my contact tried to replicate your issue, but wasn't able to. They tried different model though as they don't have dell on hand. So it could be anything, from incompatibility related issues through damaged components/devices.

Thanks for coming back. Is it any specific brand that worked for you? Might help others if anyone comes looking.
