3 main culprits.. if you have tried addressing these 3 and have not seen any improvement, then I'm not sure as I have not had any hitching issues myself.

1. MSI Afterburner: disable the power and power % monitoring or don't use Afterburner at all. See if it goes away.

2. Realtek Network drivers: if you're using 10.73, try uninstalling them and use default windows NIC card drivers or try 10.74 driver.

3. Disable X3D Gaming mode in BIOS.
giving this guy @Indabox another shoutout... its like I have a brand new computer, smooth as silk now, thank you soooo much!

Glad your system is running good now. I cant take credit for any of that as I found those fixes posted by others in the forum or elsewhere on the web. Out of curiosity, what of the 3 do you think fixed your issue?

I don't think it was the network drivers as it was happening watching downloaded vids, i believe it was the afterburner power monitoring.

As much as I don't like msi. But I have to switch to hero. Too many problems. One bios fixes the previous ones, but new ones appear. There is no way to more finely control the system. So far my favorite topic, which I have been subscribed to for a long time. But I still have vanguard 😀😀😀 I hope that the boards on the x970 chipset from MSI will turn out better and I won't have to wait a year for stability

I'm glad it's working now, but don't discount the network drivers being the problem. There were folks having 10.73 impact their system causing latency spikes even if they were on Wifi and not actually using the NIC at all...

Those are some pretty spectacular stability and performance numbers (especially since you're running a January BIOS, just after the 99(0/5)0x3d was released), but I wonder how many "behind the scenes" differences there are between the BIOSes of the MAG tomahawk and the MPG Carbon Wifi boards. I haven't played with the Nitro/Gear-down settings much, have you seen much actual difference in performance, outside of the synthetics?

By the way, Realtek 10.75 drivers are now available on their official website — they seem quite stable to me so far.

Hi enthusiast, don't think all new Bios versions are an upgrade, always providers will check them first over enthusiasts skills before released, like tech on cobai tests
I was flashed through all this still imature beta Bios version so far, but needed to roll back A24 agesa 1.2.0.3a patchA all the time
None of versions were found stable in tests for my setup, same power, clocks, boost Effectives wasn't there like A24 which rocks

You should one day, if you build y foundation with GDM ON, be aware GDM Enabled hides issues. Always. Too much. Failure was expected, soon or later coz of that.
Enableing Gear it's just putting a bandaid over setup, GearOFF is your route, I can tell.
Why do not work steps by steps on pure 1T GearOFF, doesn't matter if it eats a lot of mem OC time consumer, I found real world performance better than in synthetics too.
Also I found manually set Address Hash Bank trick it's really working on MSI older UEFI indeed, also Address Hash CS & Swap Apu together brings certain improvements to my best Profile thx to Igor's Lab update Here

So I have had 3 times now on a fresh boot, the mouse laggs around and visual black replaces discord or other windows while overall system of typing etc is lagging. I never saw this on the old BIOS... A1
A friend with 3 monitors is seeing this issue... on different MSI board with the 9800X3D.

how about trying bios default and see if its stable?
I was rounding up 5.425 is the actual number. I did clear CMOS 3 times, after installing the new RAM.
The RAM is just running EXPO profile.

So far the mouse lag has only occurred 3 out of 20+ boots.

If it keeps happening I will turn down the FCLK OC to start with.

This A41 BIOS update broke my Lian Li LCD wireless fans. Strangely, only one set of three fans connected in a daisy chain keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, while the other set of three works perfectly fine.

EDIT

I was stupid enought to not see that the data cable of the fans was loose.

oho, is there a workaround to this ?
Nope, the one thing a lot of us are hoping gets fixed in an update but are starting to lose hope. You can check out the Tomahawk Beta bios thread, that's nothing but people having this issue. One thing that can reduce it I've found, is disabling "PSPP" in Bios, has to do with the PCI link state.

I've tried a lot of the stuff suggested, power profile changes on the PCI state, change PCI link to Gen 5. Currently on A40 and I've seen it once or twice, so it's not too bad.

Thats crazy.... been 7 months of time ++ pre release and they still haven't worked out the bugs. Anything new seems to be using consumers as Alpha/Beta/QA testers.
