I have no issues with 42 on XMP or the "TRY IT" setting that I use, as my Corsair 48 GB 7200 @ 6400 32 CL FC 2200 operates flawlessly. All my tuning settings function without any glitches and perform exceptionally well overall. There are absolutely no issues or stuttering, which was primarily caused by overdriving the system bus to 102 or higher. By keeping it on AUTO, I have never experienced any stuttering.

I guess my next step is to buy a new board (another Carbon) from a newer batch and hope it will behave as it should. I've already tried a new kit of RAM (16x2@8000Mt/s by Teamgroup) with no luck. If the new mobo trick won't work, I think I'm gonna try new cpu, then a new psu and finally a new gpu (hopefully I won't have to).
PS: This is my first (and probably the last) AMD and MSI user experience lol)
I was primarily an Intel user for more than 30 years; however, I used MSI extensively, and it was actually my primary brand when building a new PC. Over the past 10 years, though, MSI has significantly degraded in terms of customer support and friendliness. Additionally, while adding more and more visually appealing features, they have compromised on product quality, which has become quite noticeable. It is very common to see people with similar or almost identical hardware setups, where one works flawlessly while others experience unexplained and strange problems. I have been in that situation myself before, so I truly understand the issue. In general, Intel builds were always more stable, and even with MSI hardware, there were almost no discrepancies or strange problems for people using similar setups. However, this time, my third AMD excursion seems to have hit the jackpot, as everything works smoothly, like a charm. I couldn't be happier.

Do not upgrade to 42. For me it is totally unstable, blue screen in any situation, including during youtube video playback. I couldn't revert through the BIOS, causing a d0 error on restart, so I could only revert through the pendrive in the rear usb port. I would be embarrassed to release a BIOS through the "stable" channel when the product is not stable.

I’ve tried all the same methods and spent a lot of time troubleshooting — this is clearly a broken and buggy BIOS. At this point, MSI should either replace these motherboards or release a mature, stable BIOS update. Enough is enough.

It works excellently on my system and stands out as one of the better BIOS versions, enabling a stable 8000 on my Corsair Titanium 7200. I have no complaints; I still prefer the lower latency 6400 setting on the same RAM.

Fortunately or unfortunately there is no equipment identical to the other. I just think that the client used as a beta-tester should be compensated.

That ship sailed years ago unfortunately. Doesn't matter who the company is any longer, the end users end up being unpaid beta testers for their product. Really makes me miss the old days when stuff just worked out of the box.

I don't mind beta testing a somewhat enjoy it but when it breaks and full system that was stable and it won't ever pass the ram test that is really bad . When. The ram was tested and stable for a year now it is unacceptable.for any company.. I think that should release it in the beta then we could work out the problems and then they should have released it on the website.when I test beta bios I expect problems. But the choice is mine to install the beta but when it comes to the release ones it shouldn't be like this.

Bios 42 is stabil for me.
CO All cores -25
OC +200 Mhz
PMO lim Mobo
Scalar x10
XMP enable, 6400 Mhz

No, I just did the settings I wrote, and I also set the SoC voltage to 1.285

I'm finding the 9950x3d to be a MUCH better chip than the 9800x3d, at least for the two samples of the 9800x3d I have. The IMC on my new 9950x3d is far more solid and can reach MUCH better memory speeds and lower latency, and the computer feels smoother in everything I do.
I'm experimenting with vSoC 1.27 right now with my 6400 cl32 RAM clocked at 6200 cl 30, but might bring it back up to 1.28 or even 1.3 again to see if I can get 6400 stable on the new processor- though, I've noticed the real vSoC ranged up to 1.295 when I had it set to 1.8, so maybe not. We'll have to see how much time I have. But the 9950x3d with all the current driver updates and A41 beta BIOS is MUCH closer to the expectations I have when I build a new computer than when I started this long journey in November 2024.
Previously, trying 6400 MT/s XMP 1:1 settings caused an instant bluescreen when loading Windows. It would run on 1:2 but who wants that...

i Like 42 bios other then the ram still testing but i see PBO 10x 200 Kept 5430ghz and no drops i took my ram kit and put it to 1.4 and use 6400 and temps are lower on this bios.cc Still testing

So a was testing the 42 bios I can see some improvement PBO now show 5430 all the time but if you change the ram other then expo it won't post 3c error .but other then that it works I think that screwed up the ram settings somehow. And the CPU always stays at at one level when playing games (5430 5410 ) before it would go to 5310 and back up again.

I don't have ram on XMP and I changed and try different settings and no problem with posting on Corsair Titanium 7200 , never saw my CPU showing 5430 but 5425 9800X3D
