"AMD has confirmed that AGESA (AMD Generic Encapsulated Software Architecture) firmware Combo PI (Platform Initialization) 1.2.0.3e mitigates the flaw. The company notes that the said firmware fixes "ASP fTPM + Pluton TPM" issue. If you are wondering, ASP refers to AMD Secure Processor which is "a dedicated hardware component embedded in every system-on-a-chip.
AMD's motherboard vendor partners like Asus and MSI have already begun rolling out the firmware update. MSI has a blog post about the 1.2.0.3e Combo PI as it mentions several new upcoming features including support for new CPUs, better memory compatibility, and more."

Nope! I noticed it was released 12 before your post, which is already late considering the abrupt revocation of the BIOS. Here’s an interesting fact: with this "bogus" BIOS, I managed to set my Corsair TITANIUM 48 GB 7200 at 8000 and get it working. However, the performance wasn’t optimal due to significantly higher latency required for stability CL40. On the original BIOS A4, for example, the moment I set 8000, regardless of higher latency or even voltage (1.45), the system would not boot at all, giving me three beeps (memory not detected). Yet, the same BIOS, according to MSI, has memory issues :) go figure.

And yet again MSI is with their pants down, all the major vendors are releasing the E AGESA as far as I can see but MSI fckd it up immediately and now like a little toddler dragging around with the pants down, sucking the thumb.

And FYI there is a NEW AMD Chipset driver available 7.06.02.123 which might be crucial with new bios and Win system however MSI is completely ignorant and still having 7.01.08.129 from January on the official Carbon download page.

Hello,

How do you flash the BIOS with A44 with this issue : "Hang 0D when saving BIOS settings or doing M-Flash" ?

Thanks.
Hello, the only way to update from the A42 is through a USB device.
You need to use a USB drive formatted in FAT32, copy the BIOS file onto it, and rename the file to MSI.ROM.
Then, insert the USB into the port labeled Flash BIOS (in small letters).

Are we unable to flash the M-Flash tool? Why is that?

I found this in the user manual, it seems that we need to press the Flash Button :

1. Download the latest BIOS file from the MSI website that matches your
motherboard model.
2. Rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM, and save it to the root directory of a USB flash
device.
3. Connect the power supply to CPU_PWR1 and ATX_PWR1. (You don’t need to
install the CPU and memory.)
4. Plug the USB flash device with the MSI.ROM file into the Flash BIOS Port on the
rear I/O panel.
5. Press the Flash BIOS Button to start flashing the BIOS. The LED will start flashing
to indicate the process has begun.
The LED will turn off when the process is complete

EDIT : It's OK with my 2GB USB stick but not with my 16GB even in FAT32. Pushing the Flash Button makes the computer to start a little bit later and then reboots when it's finished.

I prepared the USB as a precaution, since I had read that M-Flash wasn’t working properly. When I tested it, the 0D error did indeed appear
Is it just A42 that is having the trouble updating with M-flash? Previous versions working okay, or does every version need to use flashback?

Flashback is only necessary if you have version A42 installed. Once the BIOS is updated to any version other than A42, M-Flash becomes available again and works properly. I'm currently on version A44 and, so far, everything is running perfectly; I can also access M-Flash without any issues.

When the system becomes stuck during initialization, disconnect all USB devices, leaving only the mouse and keyboard connected. Perform a CMOS clear, and in my case, this resolved the error code and allowed access to the BIOS. .
