by loading the BIOS and click over BIOS-SHA256 on the bottom:

then in this topic do press CTRL+F to paste it to check if will match it.

Aside from this you can check AGESA version,
and / or let the tool prepare the USB key for flashing either by the tool by booting from USB key or by M-Flash.
While doing USB key preparation it will ensure the BIOS integrity on the USB key both checksum and SHA256.

Are there any cases of PCs completely shutting down with this motherboard? The PC shuts down while playing demanding games. It never happens while idle or watching YouTube. I've replaced the PSU, CPU, RAM... SSDs are working fine. So the only remaining possibilities are the motherboard or the GPU.

Thank you all so much. You're very kind. All the temperatures are great. I have good airflow. My graphics card, a Nitro 7900 XTX, is showing the infamous "0 RPM" error, and the RGB lighting is failing. There's no RGB. All the relevant tests have been done, and it's a hardware issue. I don't think it's the motherboard either. Cheers.

Zero issue on that specific point with my new ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Apex either.
As a side note, for people thinking about switching from the MPG Carbon to a Crosshair/Apex like I did: don’t assume you can simply reproduce your fine-tuned MSI OC on the ASUS board in less than an hour. That was my mistake.
For now, I’m still far from my MPG Carbon performance: roughly 2% lower in single-thread and around 3% lower in multi-thread. The Apex clearly has a lot more tuning options, but it also seems much less straightforward to dial in.

I almost went for the ROG Crosshair X870E Glacial, but after some reasoning and not really having any problems with my CarbonWifi or system overall, I dropped the idea. I just couldn’t justify spending $1,200 for basically zero improvements over the CarbonWifi, especially since I don’t experience any issues and I’m not sure it would bring a major performance boost either. However, if I do start experiencing issues like others have reported, I believe I’d go for the Glacial or Dark Hero.

You’re right about that.

I was mainly curious to use eCLK and compare the speed I could get with it, but so far I’m disappointed. With the MPG Carbon, I could only use BCLK overclocking, but multi-core performance was still stronger at around 101.9 BCLK than what I’m getting on the Apex, even at 103.25 BCLK.

I chose the Apex because I only use two RAM sticks, and the Apex is supposed to be unbeatable for memory overclocking. I haven’t even started memory tuning yet, though. For now, I’m still trying to at least regain my MSI performance.

Single-thread should not be a problem(-0.6 % overall), but for multi-core(-2.39 % overall), I’m starting to doubt I’ll be able to fully match the MPG Carbon.
 
Glacial costs twice as much. It makes no sense to spend that much.
Yeah, I know, but I’m more drawn to the Glaciel than the Dark Hero despite its unrealistic price tag. As long as the Carbon serves me well, I’ll just keep things as they are. The Glaciel is really just an overpriced, feature-packed board that’s no better than any other high-end board in the same “exclusive” tier like the Godlike. You’re not paying for a board that caps at around $500 or less you’re paying for the “exclusivity.” Total waste of money, I know.

Hi everyone. It turns out the problem is my Nitro 7900 XTX. It has a problem where it sometimes shuts down under full load (the temperatures are very good... it's a different issue, not caused by temperature). I now have a 9070 XT, and the port is always set to PCI-E x16 5.0
 
3 days into overclocking on the Apex, and I still can’t get back to the performance I had on my MSI MPG. It feels odd… or maybe not.

The only way I’ve managed to get close is by using the same method I used on the MSI: no ECLK.

ECLK can give you similar single-thread performance at the same apparent speed, but it kills multi-core performance. It just seems to wreck the CO curve behavior, regardless of settings .Also, people saying the Apex is “rock solid” for AM5 overclocking… honestly, that feels like a joke right now.

Hello. The XMP/EXPO profile activates a 1.300 SoC. I set it to 1.260, and it seems stable. In Taichi, the EXPO/XMP profile was 1.20. Do you recommend setting the SoC to 1.20? Will the CPU temperatures improve?
 
Lower VSOC = lower SOC power (watts) --> less heat generated by the I/O die, which benefits the cores slightly.
If one make adjustments too aggressively, they may encounter instability, as this isn't universal but more individual hardware capability and tolerance .Best way to experiment and find the settings that work best for you aiming for a balance that reduces power while maintaining stability. The good news is you won't damage anything; it will either work or become unstable.

That's the video card that I have. What power supply do you have and what is it's power rating? Before I turned down the frequency, it would try to overclock itself well over 3,000 MHz and draw full power at 525 watts (3 x 150 watts for each 8pin + 75 watts for PCIe x 16 slot). I have an ATX 3.1 PSU. To be ATX 3.1 certified, it's required to handle up to 200% of it's rated wattage for 100 microsecond bursts. But you said it shut down. Did the computer just shut down or the driver crash and the monitor go blank? If the computer completely shut down, I would say it's a power issue but if the monitor just went blank then that's another thing entirely. The 9070 XT doesn't use as much power.

PCI Express power management and USB sleep turned off in the old Control Panel power plan management interface. I'm waiting for MSI to release a new BIOS with AGESA 1.3.0.1b (I think that the current beta \ release version.) It hasn't changed for a while now???

Hello.The entire system was replaced (even the motherboard, for this X870E Carbon). PSU, CPU, RAM... all tests were run, and the only remaining suspect was my Nitro 7900 XTX. It's worth noting that it also has the infamous "0 RPM" fan issue, and the RGB lighting also stopped working (the Nitro 9070 XT model continues to have these problems). The repair success rate for a 7900 XTX is very low. It's a tricky card. Restarts... black screens... freezes, and ultimately, complete shutdowns. The XFX build is my new toy now. Where the 7900 XTX consumed 400 watts, this 9070 XT stays at 224 watts, maintaining a constant 2990 MHz at 99% usage. The power supplies are Corsair RMX 850s, and the cables are separate and sleeved. Sorry for going off-topic, and I'm very happy with the power consumption, temperatures, and performance of my 9070 xt.
 
There is no version 1.3.0.1b or 1.3.0.1. and the 1A99 BIOS is unofficial, provided by the administrator. Is something wrong with this board?
There is a 1.3.0.1b version out since the end of May. It hasn't made it to the x870 Carbon WiFi yet.

Nothing wrong with the board; it’s typical MSI behavior. Once they release the refresh line, they tend to neglect the older boards, pushing them down the priority list. From now on, you can expect fewer and fewer updates for the vanilla X870E boards. They’ll still be coming, but much less frequently. I’ve experienced this for 15 years, having owned ACE and ACE MAX boards in the past, and even people with GODLIKE boards aren’t treated any better. That’s why I won’t spend my money on MSI’s enthusiast premium boards anymore.
