我已经安装了最新的 BIOS。版本:7D31vAN 发布日期:2025-08-07。

但是,在启动《使命召唤:黑色行动 7》时,游戏仍然提示我更新 BIOS。

I finally resolved this issue.

Here's the specific method:

Remove the battery, disconnect the motherboard power, clear the CMOS information, let it sit for 10 minutes—this solved the problem.

.......................................................

I had previously tried restoring the default BIOS settings while the power was connected, but that didn't fix the problem. I was already planning to send the motherboard in for repair when I suddenly thought to try disconnecting the power.

It feels like the MSI BIOS has a logical issue.
It's the game, not the hardware
Talk to the developers who released the game

BF-6 has similar problems where it won't recognise Secure Boot as enabled.

I'm concerned this might be the same issue as with AMD AM4 motherboards, so I'm posting to ask.

off topic: I use the duckduckgo browser. it added some things to my context menu when I right click something. One of them is "translate with duck.ai" . I select text the usual way , click and hold at the start of the text and move to the end and release, and when I right click on it I have the option to translate. It works both ways for me . If I selected english, I can specify a foreign language. A foreign language will translate to english. I just had to try it on this opening post and I worked, using those chinese charaters:
"I have installed the latest BIOS. Version: 7D31vAN Release date: 2025-08-07. However, when launching "Call of Duty: Black Ops 7," the game still prompts me to update the BIOS."

Have you updated the ME firmware as well

It would be nice if Activision specified waht subversion of TPM is required and not just TPM 2.0

Can you give me the link to the main support page for z690 edge ti wifi ddr4? I can't find it on the msi homepage

I used the diagnostic software provided by Activision: No EFI measurements in TCG log

OK, will mark as a solution for now as it is driving me nuts.

After repeated testing, I am certain I have identified the root cause:

Call of Duty's TPM detection does not support the SM3_256 PCR Bank encryption algorithm.

Simply enabling the SM3_256 PCR Bank encryption algorithm in TPM settings triggers the game to prompt for a BIOS update and report the error: “No EFI measurements in TCG log.”

The SM3 algorithm was developed by Chinese government entities. The UEFI 2.11 standard released in December 2024 has added SM3 algorithm support. I also play other games requiring TPM Secure Boot (like Battlefield 6), but they function without issues. It remains unclear whether these games' anti-cheat systems support SM3 encryption or if their TPM detection is less stringent compared to Call of Duty.

Test results are back from MSI, and they could not reproduce the results you have

What you have done is waht they suggest to fix, plus only use M-Flash to update the BIOS.

The Test system matches your configuration.

This feels like it's straying from science and entering the realm of sci-fi 🤣

But right now, whenever I enable SM3_256 PCR Bank, Activision's detection software throws an error: “No EFI measurements in TCG log.” The game then prompts me to update the BIOS. Disabling SM3_256 PCR Bank restores everything to normal.

My Windows system version is the Professional Workstation Edition, build number 25H2 26200.7623, and I also use Kaspersky Security Software.

These shouldn't cause any issues, right?
