MS-6199VA - dead??

Hi, I have a 2-part question.
First, I think my mainboard is dead. When I turn it on, I get nothing - the drives etc.. powerup but no POST.
Could this be the mainboard? Or CPU? (The CPU fan
starts up). Is there any way I can test it without using spare parts (which I dont have)?

Secondly, if it is the mainboard, can I use any other MSI slot one board? I have a PIII/700 CPU.

hi

try having a fiddle reseat all your cards and ram

clean the case out of dust not saying it will work

but worth a try

best thing is to check bios revision pages on boards

they give most up to date details re cpu support
