MS-8348 problems

I just got a MS-8348 and it is incorrectly seeing the
speed the disks should be able to write on.
Princo disks that are 2x-48x, and the MS-8348
says that they are 16x Max.
Imation disks that are 12x and the MS-8348
says that they are 16x Max
Old Sony 6x disks and the MS-8348
says that they are 16x Max

Nero reports Firmware Revision: A.QZ

My 24x Aopen burner reports that it can burn the
Princo at 24x and the Imation at 12x

The only media that the MS-8348 recognizes as other
than 16x is the disk that came with the burner.

Is your drive the MS-8348A or the MS-8348B?

Also what is the other hardware in your comp and the OS you are running?

This is not related to hardware in my computer,
or the OS.

This is a problem with the drive recognizing the media.
Searching through your site I have seen firmware upgrades for other burners that seem to be primarily to
recognize more types of media.

When will MSI be putting up a firmware upgrade.
Simply allowing the drive to burn at 16x to any
unrecognized media is not acceptable, when the
drive is unable to recognize most types of media.

I am having the exact same problem.
When will a firmware upgrade come out to solve this obvious problem.
