Hey guys.
Just picked up a system from an old customer. He said it was working fine 2 days ago. Yesterday, he pressed the power button and got fans running but no post.
I picked it up yesterday afternoon. Got it home for testing.
I tested every part in the system on an old ASUS board. All parts working. Even tried bench testing out the case. Used an old PCI graphics card. No go. Tested with 1 processor, swapped and tested with second. Nothing. Cleared CMOS as well. Left shorted for 6hrs.
My question is: I still have a new W39V080APZ 8mb bios chip that was purchased a few years ago for other boards I used to have like this. How do I flash it without a working MSI board? I don't have any MSI boards left.
Just hoping maybe a bios flash may bring it back to life.
