MSI 341CQPX QD-OLED – Uneven Vertical Banding on Right Corner

Hi everyone, I recently got my MSI 341CQPX QD-OLED monitor (replacement unit, 14 days old).
I’ve noticed uneven vertical banding specifically on the right corner of the screen.
I’ve already tried panel protect, power cycling, and replacing the DP cable, but nothing helps.
I even waited for 100–150 hours of usage (break-in period), but the issue is still visible.

Is this normal for QD-OLED panels, or should I consider this a defect worth sending back for RMA?
Has anyone here had success with RMA approval for similar uneven banding issues?

Hi, Have you tried using a different graphics card, or a different DP/HDMI cable, or entering the BIOS setup to see if the same issue occurs?

Hello Kupo, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, yes, I had already tried different DP cables but not a different graphics card. I have now returned the monitor to the service center as advised by MSI customer support, since the line was very noticeable and also affected some color shades.

At the moment, I’m using a 1080p monitor as a replacement, and it seems my GPU is working fine. I just wanted to get your opinion as well—do you think I made the right decision, or is the banding definitely not normal?

I’m also a bit worried that the technical team might declare the issue as “within spec” or normal, even though the line was clearly visible and affected the display quality. To me, this seems unacceptable for a premium monitor.
