Specs: Ryzen 5 7600 CPU / MSI 5070 Ti 16GB Gaming Trio OC PLUS / G.Skill 2x16 6000 Mhz 28CL RAMS / MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi Mobo / Corsair RM750e PSU / Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240m AIO / Samsung Odyssey G6 (G61SD 240Hz) Monitor

I have been using this system for a few days and I faced 2 major issues that I was not able to fix. Could you please help me with those?

1) GPU Crash: I realized that, after I play a few matches in CS2 and quit the game, my screen suddenly goes all gray with a few vertical blue lines. I researched about it for a bit and realized that it was a common issue for both AMD cards and new 5000 series cards (especially for Gaming Trio). Here are some information that I was able to gather:

- I have run 17 loops of Speed Way stress test, 15 minutes of FurMark and 15 minutes of combined OCCT test (3D Standard, 3D Adaptive, VRAM). No issues had occured. After that I have run 30 minutes of VRAM only OCCT test just to be sure and again, no issues.
- I first faced this issue on driver version 572.60 and then I installed the hotfix (572.65) for black screen issues. I tried again, and the issue persisted.
- I had no issues during the gameplay, but once I type in-game consol ''quit'' and hit enter, my GPU crashes. I checked the Event Viewer after having this crash and I realized there was an error. Source was ''nvlddmkm'' and event ID was 153. Does this mean something?
- I have never experienced this issue in other games, or daily usage. Since I use 2K monitor and play CS2 on 4:3 1280x960 resolution (VRR off) that makes me think that it could be something related to the settings? I have no issues when I am alt-tabbing tho. (When I alt-tab, the screen goes black for a second and after that I see ''Display Port'' information on the top left of the screen).

2) Random Glitches: Again, when I was playing CS2 I realized that my screen was glitching. Then I found out that this one is not specific for CS2. I also experience this on desktop or other games too. I have not much information on this one but I recorded a video in CS2 and took some photos of the moment of glitching. It was a clear distortion in the scene, like a random part of screen goes green for a millisecond and it goes normal again.

I have run a CPU stress test, MemTest86 for RAMs and Speed Way/Steel Nomad stress tests for GPU. I also run a combined OCCT test for all components. No issues, no errors.
I cannot fix this issue and am afraid of my GPU being faulty. Do you think it is related to software or my GPU is faulty? Any ideas to fix?

in my case, i just open ragnarok classic mobile with max 60 fps and google chrome with 3 - 4 tabs, with gpu load less than 60% and got random crash.

im not sure, still trying to find root cause, but so far after using voltage curve on msi ab, random crash almost gone, even with 116% power limit.
For me, both issues are random. I have just played 10 mins of CS2 again and quit, no crashes had occured. Also I have not experienced any glitches. They are so random. As @FlyingScot said, it is best trying to track the pattern. I am sure that glitching will occur in an hour or so, but I am not sure when the crashing gonna occur again. Weird.

POTENTIALLY SOLVED:
Hi. Thank you for both your interest, first of all. I tried way too many things that I did not have to...
I concluded that (not certain yet tho. I have to test it further) a VRR related issue is the root cause of glitching, whereas a resolution related/refresh rate related issue is the root cause of crashing.
Here are some findings of mine:
- My monitor (G61SD) has a feature called ''Adaptive-Sync'' in its OSD menu. I tested turning it ON and OFF for both glitching and crashing.
- It seems like turning it OFF solved the glitching problem. I tested it for a several hours and no glitching had occured at all. When I turned it ON, there was immediately glitching.
- One more thing that ''solved'' the glitching was changing my refresh rate to 60 Hertz. But, this one brought up a different issue, while solving glitching. The new problem was ''flashing''. When I am in the game (Cyberpunk 2077) the colors of walls, doors, etc. Were flashing for a millisecond and either making the colors brighter or darker. (I have them videos if you would like to have a look)
- But as I said, turning OFF the Adaptive-Sync completely, seemed to solve the glitching and did not bring any flashing at all.

It did not help with crashing tho. So here I thought it might be the Wallpaper Engine. My findings are:
- While Wallpaper Engine running, playing CS2 in native resolution (16:9 2560x1440) seemed not causing any crashes.
- While Wallpaper Engine running playing CS2 in my own preferred resolution (4:3 1280x960) seemed causing a crash.
- I closed Wallpaper Engine completely and tested CS2 in my own resolution, it did not crash.
- I opened Wallpaper Engine and tweaked it (when it was crashing, my WE settings was set to ''Pause'' when another application is focused, maximized, or at fullscreen. I changed them settings to ''keep playing''). This change seemed to solve crashing issue while Wallpaper Engine was running.
So it strongly suggests that a VRR conflict is the root cause of glitching whereas a resolution conflict/refresh rate conflict (most probably because of Wallpaper Engine) is the root cause of crashing. I will look further to fix glitching issue without sacrificing VRR. And look further to be sure that Wallpaper Engine is the only cause of crashing. I will keep this post updated.
