Hi
I have an old MSI 6702E motherboard that I try to make more useful. I used to have 512 MB RAM.
Now I have bought 4x1GB RAM memory. All in the same speed and manufacture. DDR400. The motherboard should support
4GB RAM when I looked in the manual. Maybe I need to read it more carefully.
The system boots up when I add 2 GB RAM. But when I add all the computer does not boot. The BIOS run the memory test and detect the memory ok.
But the operating system does not boot. When I remove memory it boots again. What can be wrong here?

First of all if BIOS detects memory then it's probably ok, but you can do a memtest, usually one-two passes are good. Secondly, if you use 32-bit system it won't even see 4GB, so if you are able to do so please try a fresh install of 64-bit OS.
