MSI 865GM2-S Bios Flash Update file size incorrect

Hello,
I recently picked up an MSI 865GM2-S Motherboard for a retro Windows 98 build. I went to update the BIOS using the latest update file from MSI but the AwardBios Flash Utility does not complete successfully, stating there is a file size mismatch; the downloaded update file is 512kb but the BIOS chip is 2mb (Springdale-G-6A79AM4AC-00 10/29/2003, flash type SST 49LF002A /3.3v (2MB). I dumped the current bios file and it too is 512kb.

Anyone else ran in to something similar and have any tips/pointers please?

and list the full BIOS ID of the current installed BIOS version
