I have a Nvidia RTX 2060. After playing about with software it appears you have to keep it open after restarting comp.
After tinkering with it I was able to reduce temp from 70c down to 55c. What an amazing jump. I'm surprised Nvidia don't calculate this since they are the manufacturer... I didnt' even think a noob like me could make such an improvement.
All I did was reduce the clock speed and let the software manage the fans automatically and I got that massive jump down to 50c.
Glad you got it! If you click on the Start With Windows icon, (or it's in the setting also) it should keep your current settings in the background after a restart. The program doesn't open though unless you open it.
