Hello guys!

I'm kinda new here. Planning to build a new system with a Ryzen 5 3600X, 16Gb ram, 1660 Super, and SSD for media, edit, 3D, etc.
Reading the compatibility list for gpu and ram sticks. I only saw MSI 1660 Super and i want to buy 8Gb sticks with leds, too, but why only the MSI GPU? or it doesn't matter if i install another brand?
Then for ram sticks... which one do you guys recommend me that has a bundle 2x8(16gb) but with a leds?
About SSD, planning to buy a 512gb Sata M.2 or PCI-E M.2 for OS/working media. Which one do you think will support more writable data for years?
Thank you very much.

I was using the Intel 660p but I upped the capacity with the 665p which has 50% better write endurance
reality is that for a run of the mill consumer rig a SSD endurance is fine

16GB is good but I am using 32GB as I do some data processing which needs the memory.

tip just avoid Gigabyte for your Graphics Card as they are a 50/50 of it either works or they have compatibility issues on MSI Motherboards.

Hey guys! Thanks for the recommendations.

My budget is tight and i'm importing this rig from Amazon, most of the parts.
Not Gigabyte, check! Looking for an Asus, or maybe a MSI. I just wanted to understand why the compatibility chart for this Mobo it's only "reserved" for MSI GPU's.
For the SSD, i was looking a Crucial or WD, but i don't know what is better for the kind of job that i do. I don't want the ssd dies so quick because i'm render, reading a lot of videos, or having so many photoshop 4K layers.

For SSD i have this in mind, all in compatibility chart:
-Western Digital Blue 3D NAND 500 GB (WDS500G2B0B)
-Kingston A2000 500 GB (SA2000M8/500G)
-Crucial P2 500 GB (CT500P2SSD8)
-Western Digital Blue SN550 500 GB (WDS500G2B0C)

Easy Advertising MSI sell GPU but not SSD Or Memory so not willing to mention the enemy. GPU Choice is AMD or Nvidia Just who you get them off is the only big difference and what quality of component on the card, cooling solution and Bios the others use to control the cards.

As for the SSD: WD Blue SN550 would be my top choice. It has twice the TBW of the Crucial P2, so the P2 is out. Also forget the WDS500G2B0B, it's a SATA M.2 SSD, the SN550 is PCIe M.2, much faster. The A2000 would be the top choice normally, because it's a bit faster than the SN550 and also has slightly higher TBW. But i've read several threads where there were some problems with new AMD mainboards (SSD disappearing). That leaves the SN550 from your list.

My personal choice would be the Samsung 970 Evo, 970 Evo Plus, 970 Pro or 980 Pro.

That's awesome, i read a lot about it and it seems like the SN550 it's a well balanced SSD, so that will be my choice. Thanks for confirm that!
Now the only things left are:

-GPU, i'm waiting to the prices go down a little, my ideas are:
-Asus GeForce GTX 1660 Super Overclocked
-Asus TUF Gaming GeForce GTX 1660 Super Overclocked

-RAM, I wish i could buy some 2x8(16gb) pack with RGB lights but my budget it's tight.
-CPU Cooler.
-Other parts like case, coolers, keyboard/mouse, and psu, i'll buy that in my country.

Talking about PSU, guys for a system like this a Semi-Modular 600-650w PSU with Bronze/Gold certified it's fine to handle all those parts? In the future i'm only planning to add more ram, and a SSD for storage. Brands like Corsair, Thermaltake, and Seasonic comes to mind. Any suggestions?

The ASUS TUF Gaming X3 GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER seems alright. You don't have to get the OC version. Doesn't make much of a difference anyway.

RAM is incredibly cheap at the moment, your budget will suffice.

CPU cooler, the 3600X comes with the Wraith Spire which is good enough for a start.
Better alternative would be the Arctic Freezer 34 CO (absolute bargain at ~26 EUR).

The PSUs i would recommend are Seasonic Core GM , Seasonic Focus GX, Corsair RM or be quiet! Pure Power 11. With those three manufacturers, anything starting from 500W and 80 PLUS Gold, you can't go wrong.

Or have a look at the AMD RX 5600 XT and non XT cards I believe they are about same price and a bit better performance than the 1660 Supers cards.

Thanks about the GPU! Good suggestion, i only want Nvidia on this, but i'm trying to find that version on Amazon with no luck, so there's only the OC version. I want the Super version, not OC.
For rams, it seems that Corsair Vengeance RGB are not supported, so i have to stay with something like Hyper X/G.Skill, hope to find some RGB.

^^ About PSu's so i'm on the right track.
Thank you all, i'll post again my final pieces after research(bcs there's always a problem).
