MSI B550-A Pro RGB controller not working after opening OpenRGB

Clicking on the brightness slider on OpenRGB just shut off all the lights on my Corsair RS120-R fans, and started spamming me with "MSI Mystic Light Connected" notifications. It also caused intermittent freezes on the BIOS interface. Only way I could avoid this from happening is to turn off the LED switch on the motherboard. I tried clearing CMOS, unplugging for 30 minutes and updated the BIOS to 7C56vAM2, but issues still persist as soon as I enable to LED switch.

I'm on CachyOS Linux
R7 5700X3D, RX 9060 XT, Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz 16 GB DDR4

It's not really possible to screenshot it, I'd have to take a video. But basically in the BIOS the mouse freezes every 2 seconds for half a second if the RGB controller switch is turned on. And within the operating system I would get a MSI Mystic Light Connected and Disconnected notification every 10 seconds. All of these symptoms go away if the RGB switch is turned off - which probably suggests the Noviton chip inside the motherboard is just resetting USB connection every few seconds due to some bad configuration instead of resetting itself back to default settings.

And can Mystic Light run at the same time as OpenRGB? In my opinion, it should be disabled... It's either one or the other.
