I have the newest BIOS update, I have downloaded the wifi drivers three different ways - from the website, through MSI Center and through DriverMax - nothing. "No WiFi networks found". Ethernet works, connecting my phone through a cable and using it for USB tethering works, WiFi doesnt show networks. please help

EDIT: and there's no bluetooth either, even though i installed those drivers too.

Hello,

Can you check device manager to see if the wifi card is actually detected / working?
On the start menu, windows logo, press the right mouse button, then choose device manager.
When it opens look for network adapters, press on the + to expand the view and see what you have there.
Post a screenshot

Or if you have any exclamation marks with unknown devices / no drivers it will show there too.
MSI list AMD wifi and Intel Wifi < which one did you try? (usually its an Intel WIFI module so Intel driver)

And the actual physical wifi module in the motherboard, is it there / fully plugged in?
It's kind of secured with a metal bracket but still if this is insecure or bent it might not be making good contact so double check when the PC is off.

the wifi module is AMD, the antennae are screwed on flush and it seems to be sitting well, i dont see any sign of damage.

Hmm, that driver on MSI's site although dated 2025 it's actually a lot older once you look at the files so possibly an issue.

Microsoft have a driver listed that states Windows 11 24H2, so try that or see if it will get it through Windows update, uninstall what you have / delete the driver and go through Windows update, will need ethernet connection or if your phone can try.

Alternate option go direct to microsoft and try.
The top one which shows 24H2.

And for Bluetooth if it does not work after.

Im still on Windows 10 and I've tried rolling back the driver update and reinstalling it through windows update and through the cab file from microsoft update catalogue - no dice. however, i've also been getting an error when trying to install the cab file through cmd/powershell, something along the lines of "file not found". tried linking to the folder where the cab file was, tried unzipping the cab file and then linking to that, still "file not found".

I don't suppose you are able to try Windows 11? (a test install of 24H2)

There were some wifi vulnerability patches a while back which killed some drivers / wifi cards stopped working with the exact same issue you are seeing, 0 networks.

Is this a new build or was it working previously on Windows 10?
And is this a new Windows 10 install or something from another PC?

Latest win10 here if you do not have but I would say try Win 11 if this is a new build as the driver support can be a problem

I'd prefer to stay on Windows 10 for as long as possible, but obviously if stuff continues collapsing I'll have to switch.

I have the latest build of Windows 10, and I've had this issue ever since I installed this motherboard (and CPU and RAM, I upgraded from an old combo with an i7-6700t to this one with a ryzen 5 5600). I just never tried to fix it because i had access to an ethernet connection.

k, so there is a possibility that it was dead on arrival.

Do you know how to boot into a Linux OS, like ubuntu 25.04? This should support the wireless lan card so if it works in this OS you know its a driver / WinOS issue. If it doesnt't work, the wifi module is faulty.

They even have a guide to explain the USB install process, all you need to do is get that done and then boot from this drive to get into the ubuntu OS.

Thanks
I understand my problems.
Windows tells me with Info32 and CMD that SecureBoot isn't enabled. This prevents me from updating 24h2.
But in the BIOS, I see SecureBoot enabled. However, it isn't. I suppose I need to switch to Custom mode, but I don't want to mess things up.
In the four parameter lines: factory keys and keys management, what exactly do I need to do to actually enable SecureBoot?
Thank you very much.

try to Enroll all Factory default keys first... basically the secure boot is already enabled...

You could also try to clear CMOS for 5 min and see if your Wifi will be ok?? try to use your own cellphone to test also,,
