MSI B650-Chipset : Graphic card not detected (DisplayPort)

Hello!
I'm in the process of setting up a new PC from scratch, with all new components. However, I've encountered two issues that I'd like to share with you to see if you can help me:

1. Every time I turn on the computer, there's no display on the monitor. Although it visually appears that all components are working correctly inside the case, I can't seem to get any image on the monitor. So far, the only solution I've found is to perform a Clear CMOS every time I turn on the computer, which is quite inconvenient but effective, as it allows the computer to start properly.

2. Every time Windows goes into sleep mode, upon waking it up, the computer undergoes a complete restart, as if it were starting from scratch. Additionally, it doesn't retain the state of any tasks that were in progress before the suspension. Everything in the operating system reappears as if it were a fresh Windows startup.

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions to resolve these issues. Below are the specs of my setup.
Thank you in advance!

Update;

AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
MSI Pro B650-A Wifi
MSI Ventus 2X GeForce RTX 4060 Ti OC 8GB
Kingston Fury Beast 32GB 5200MHz (2x16GB) DDR5

I was having the exact same GPU not recognising in the BIOS issue. Was previously on 7D77v1C.

Updated to 7D77v1F1 (4th Jan 2024 release).

Works perfectly. Multiple cold boots, and the GPU picks up every time.

Looks like it is fixed.

I seem to have a similar but reverse issue with a 4080 and/or 3050 6Gb with the latest bios. Cold boots detect the card fine but on reboot the card is not initialized.
What are your CPU and motherboard?
If you rolled back to previous BIOS, graphics card will not be detected on cold boot but reboot is fine?
On latest BIOS, cold boot is fine but on reboot card is not detected so monitor stays black? Does EZ Debug LED stuck at VGA?

Can you set the PCIE setting in Bios from AUTO to Gen 4 pr PCI_E1

I've gone back to the old bios for now which works fine for the graphics card detection in both cold and warm boots.

I did try manually setting the pcie gen to both 4 and 3 neither helped before rolling back.

I've got a support ticket open with all the details in, so won't repeat them all here. Hopefully MSI can reproduce and fix this.

Hi all!
Same problem on motherboard MSI PRO B650M-P and video card RTX4070Ti: graphic card not detected after reboot.
Will there be BIOS updates for this motherboard? Enough time has passed... Some have already received corrections(

Thank god its not just me, this bug is driving me nuts on my new upgrade build. Some reason I do not get video signal. I lose it on a reboot most of the time. If my pc gets into windows everything is fine, it wakes from sleep without problems. Its done this with the bios that shipped with the board as well as the latest

I rolled back to 7D76vA6 and it seems to be working better so far, my MSI log blinks on and off more now than it does on the newest bios.

Congratulate me! Firmware 7E27v19 fixed the problem! Now after reboot the discrete video card is used!

Hello everyone,
after trying a lot of things, including what has been suggested here I would also like to document my issue here.
A few days ago I suddenly received a black screen while playing a game. Note that to my awareness nothing had changed beforehand that could have caused the issue, no BIOS updates or the likes.
Initially the GPU still showed up in the device manager as a hidden device. Thinking it was a driver problem, I attempted a clean install by running DDU, which resulted in the total disappearance of the GPU. Since then I have been unable to get it to be recognised again. The GPU lights turn on on boot, however the fans do not. I have tried all manner of things suggested on the web to no avail unfortunately.

My system below:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X (8x 4.5GHz / 5.4GHz Turbo)
Mainboard: MSI PRO B650-P WIFI DDR5
Memory: 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 AM5 PC6000 Kingston Fury Beast
GPU: 16GB Palit RTX4080 GameRock
PSU: 850W Corsair RMe (80+Gold)

Test the GPU in a different Computer

I have exactly the same issue with you. The only solution is to roll back to the BIOS with AGESA version 1.0.0.7c.

MSI sent an engineer to help me to diagnose the issue and we've found that only CPU replacement could solve it. So it is the issue of AMD's CPU with different batch.

Have heard Back from our Contact, the issue has been duplicated in the test lab on a 4070 only so far and findings were passed on to the Bios team for further investigation
For now, you can Reboot the system to address the problem or roll back to previous bios, till MSI rolls out a Fix for the bug, I will update this topic when I have more info.

Thank you for bringing this to MSI's attention
Hi.

The same issue exists with the RX7800.

Have been reading up some posts on reddit and I have the same problem with mine.
Not detecting VGA and it seems to have something to do with PCI potentially. I am no expert but I tried all solutions.

Thing is the previous bios versions I tried out dont detect the GPU at all.
