MSI Carbon x870e Wifi Slow Until Restart

I had my desktop rebuilt with the MPG x870e and Ryzen 9800x3D and I'm trying to figure out why after using the computer for some time, my Wi-Fi speeds drop dramatically for no apparent reason. Only after restarting my computer do the speeds go back to normal. It happens both during web browsing and gaming but it happens at least once every time I use my computer (so 1-2x in a 4-6 hour period). See images for the speeds (first is normal speed and second is the nerfed speed. Here are my full specs if that is important:
Motherboard: MSI MPG x870e Carbon WiFi
CPU: 9800x3D
GPU: RTX 3070ti
RAM: 64GB DDR5
STORAGE: 4TB NVME Gen5

What router are you using? Are you able to try a different router? Would you be able to try a mobile phone hotspot to see if that makes any kind of difference? What signal strength do you have? There is a possibility the router is "auto tuning" the connection, and makes it worse rather than better (I had that happen on an asus router).

  1. Router is The Xfinity xFi Advanced Gateway. I don't have another router to connect to. I have two other computers (2nd desktop and laptop) and none of them have throttled the internet speed like the one I'm talking about (I'll even check my speed on other devices when my main rig slows down and they have no issue). If I get lowered speeds again I'll connect my phone as a hotspot and see if that makes a difference. Signal strength is full bars.
 
Sure thing. It may also be some strange incompatibility issue.
Using phone as a hotspot should give you a better idea of what may be going on. In your router's case you reach some crazy low speeds, so if your phone can reach lets say 30Mbps normally, and you observe <10Mbps at some point while speedtest on the phone itself will continue to be in the 30Mbps range, then you can tell there would be something wrong with the PC itself.
Might be also worth reporting the issue to MSI, they should be able to raise a request with Realtek (I assume that's same manufacturer as LAN NIC) for further troubleshooting.

Another question and things to check and consider:
Do you have any issues if you use cabled connection?
Also while you get your normal speeds, check what band the system is connected to, and then take a look at the same after it drops to those low speeds.
Make sure you disable any kinds of energy saving options in network adapter configuration, as well as try to play around with bands.
Is your router set to "smart" auto-switch between 2.4/5/6GHz bands? i.e. do you have a single WiFi network, or do you have WiFi_2.4, WiFi_5 and WiFi_6 separately? Try to change that too and see if you experience any changes.

-Haven't tried cable connection but will try to do the same test with the phone but with a ethernet cable if the Wifi speed drops again.
-My landlord says our Wifi has dual bands 2.4/5 and is a single network I think (don't have any other options under available networks to connect to). Should I set a preferred band under the network adapter settings?
-Also in my Wifi settings the protocol is Wifi 6 (802.11ax) but my network adapter is Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Wifi-7, does that matter?
