MSI Center - FROZR AI not working

MSI Center in the Microsoft Store has been updated to 2.0.13.0. I decided to do a reformat and fresh installation of Windows 11 and used MSI Center from the Microsoft Store to test again. The same issue still persists for me - I am unable to control the system fans using either Frozr AI or User Scenario. GPU fan control still seems to be OK for me though. The last working version for me was 2.0.10.0, but Mystic Light was unable to successfully install with that version :(

Hi, same problem here. Frozr ai is not working and my fans stay capped at 60%. I cannot change the speed at all and they are not reacting to temperature of the cpu. Was there an update that broke it? The fans of the msi 360 water cooling work fine with msi center. think thats because frozr ai is not controlling them

As far as I know Frozr AI controls all fans cooler fans included. If they are capped at 60% then the temp might not have hit the threshold for them to change speed. You can always set it to manual set fan speeds like this to test. CPU temp 20c fan speed 80%, 30c FS 90% then 40c 100% if nothing changes uninstall it and reinstall the module, or just use user scenarios.

Also check that its not a windows problem by using command prompt in admin mode and type scf /scannow
this will do a file integrity check in windows and replace and missing/corrupted files. This has "fixed" it for some people.

Prompt command doesnt work. Manual speed is also not working. The fans are staying at 60%, no matter what. I can change the speed in bios though.

It worked few weeks ago. But something happend since the last updates

Hi, I am using MSI Center 2.0.12.0, and if I install FROZR AI (v3.0.0.06) and switch it on, nothing happens with my fan speeds. No matter how I try to configure FROZR AI, there is no change to my system fans. However, if I revert to MSI Center 2.0.10.0 (as is on the Windows Store), FROZR AI now works correctly but I can no longer install Mystic Lights  It seems that I must choose between FROZR AI and Mystic Lights, but I would like to have both working please! System specs:
  • Intel i9-13900KF
  • MSI MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI
  • MSI RTX 4090 SUPRIM 24G
  • MSI MEG Ai1300P PSU
  • MSI MEG CORELIQUID S360
  • 2 x G.Skill 6400J3239G16G
  • Microsoft Windows 11 Pro 64-bit Ver.2009

I have no idea what just happened. I am having same problems with MSI center and just now at the Forum here, another glitch... what is MSI doing?? I think to myself, they are a good MOBO manufacturer, and then my own experience has dictated otherwise... What the Bloody Hell...

That's odd, I have done that and windows doesn't recognize this command.

The issue was duplicated by MSI and they are working on a solution, please be patient.
Until then you can set the fan speed manually from BIOS Setup or from Afterburner.

I will update this topic when the solution is available.
Any news ??

MSI Center 2.0.16.0 (5600X+B550 Gaming Plus+3080Ti Trio X, Win10 Pro 64bit 22H2)
FROZR AI Cooling is working but does not follow CPU temp.

I set it to CPU: 37,38,39/41,43,44%, GPU: 65,70,75C/50,65,70% (need silent when not gaming).
The actual CPU/GPU temp is 41C/46C, but the SYS fan speed keeps 50%.

I think it should be 44% when GPU doesn't reach 65C.
Maybe I did something wrong but I don't remember it worked like this before.

Super crazy temp set, SYS fan speed still only follows GPU temp @55% (I think it should be 80% as CPU Interval 3)

Update: If I set all GPU to 0/0, CPU keep 10,15,20C/74,75,80%, then the SYS fan green curve will drop to 0% and fan speed will be around 750-770 RPM

Hello. I have also similar problem with the MSI Center. (Tried Frozr AI cooling but it didn't work)

I've installed the graphics fan tool on the MSI center software. Then I disabled "Zero Frozr" option to keep the fans spinning all the time. The problem is: graphics fan tool does not work until I open the MSI Center. Yes MSI center automatically starts with the windows, but I need to double click in the system tray and open the app in order to get the "graphics fan tool" to work. Otherwise disabling "zero frozr" option doesn't work unless I open the MSI center app manually each time window starts.

I don't have this issue, I'm wondering if it's a windows 10 problem.
