Hello all. Got a solution to the problem. Download MSI Center from the MSI website (not from the Microsoft Store). Download the complete installer (around 500 MB) and install it. After completing the installation, try to install the Mystic Light and Device Speed Up features. The version is 2.0.12.0.

N.B. My windows defender detected a threat during installation, I allowed the installer to make changes to my PC.
It's a false positive, as not everyone's AV or windows defender is giving that detection alert.

Hi, I have the same issue and even more apps cannot be installed. I tied to uninstall all MSI software (MSI SDK, MSI afterburner and MSI center) and reinstall it again.
MSI team do you any any known issues with latest release and when this will be fixed.
Thanks

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some support. I've installed a brand new 4070Ti Suprim X on my MSI Mag Tomahawk mobo, NVIDIA drivers up to date, Bios up to date, Windows up to date. I've installed MSI Center from the microsoft store as I want to control my RGB through their built in Mystic light. It downloads and just shows "Install failed". I've tried rebooting and reinstalling but it doesn't help. Any ideas on how to solve that?

Thanks a lot!
Had the same problem. I went to the motherboard support site and saw that already a few days ago, a new version of MSI Center was released (2.0.12.0 from 2023-03-24). Removed the old one, installed the new one, and, lo and behold, the problem was solved. Mystic Light is installed and working. Who has an installation error, check the version of your MSI Center

I had the same issue with mystic light but now I am having even a worst one. The therms and conditions screen popped up, accepted everything, was installing the updated but it told me that first it couldn't install a certain thing (skipped it) and it asked me to restart my pc to install it. Turns out that it didn't install anything and now I have to redo this process. Maybe another bug, any idea? In the image (italian) it sais basically that msi center has been installed/updated and that I have to restart the pc now (or later) to launch it. Honestly don't know what to do...

quick update: I have restarted my pc 3 times and it still doesn't work, it's like a loop. I hope they fix it soon

I've been getting this same issue "Mystic Light - Install failed." as well as "Devices Speed Up - Install failed." for the last 3 patches.

Mystic Light still works fine, it just hasn't been able to update for about a month now.

I've got a Z690 EDGE Wifi DDR4 with an i12900k.

I just updated to the last MSI Center patch that just came out today, and still the same issue persists.

Ironically I had just purchased and installed a 16TB Seagate external HDD, and I thought that had something to do with why the update failed
up until today when I searched and found this thread.

Have you fully uninstalled MSI Centre? There is a an MSI tool that will fully remove it if you have a problem, and try a fresh install https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/nb/CleanCenterMaster.zip

Wow I shoulda just left it alone, at least MSI Center was installed and still working.

Now when I go to install the latest version of MSI Center,
no errors, supposedly gets through the install, then:

After I hit Exit, I try to open MSI Center once again and get the Privacy Policy agreement window, on loop.

There's literally nowhere to hit "Yes" like it's asking me to do,
but I do check the box and hit OK like I've done since I got this computer.

Anybody have any ideas?

I only just did that and all you should have to do is select I have read and click on OK

I also queried the message popping up on an Update today, if you Download from MSI directly and run Install it should not appear it seems it is just if from Windows Store you get that message for Privacy Policy.

Try this Link for Direct Download of MSI Center

I installed my new 3070ti, and it was all working fine. then it stopped and I think ive uninstalled and reinstalled over a hundred times and that's being generous. i get to a point where it just sits on please wait patiently for loading modules, and doesn't change.

please help because i don't want to keep mucking about with this.
