hey guys, I've been having the same issue for over two months. I installed my new 3070ti, and it was all working fine. then it stopped and I think ive uninstalled and reinstalled over a hundred times and that's being generous. i get to a point where it just sits on please wait patiently for loading modules, and doesn't change.

please help because i don't want to keep mucking about with this.

MSI 3070ti Gaming tri X
MSI B550 tomahawk
The mystic light module has stopped working, or the GPU?

I only just did that and all you should have to do is select I have read and click on OK

I also queried the message popping up on an Update today, if you Download from MSI directly and run Install it should not appear it seems it is just if from Windows Store you get that message for Privacy Policy.

Try this Link for Direct Download of MSI Center

Yeah I downloaded it directly from the website via https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/mb/MSI_Center_2.0.14.0.zip
I can post a video if that helps.

Sorry should specify, my MSI centre altogether gets stuck on the wait patiently for loading modules screen.

Ive tried most solutions in this forum and other similar and gets to the same point where I wait for modules for ages.

GPU runs fine.

It's just a pain that I can't get MSI centre to work to get my RGB working.

Ok use this tool to uninstall and completely remove all trace of MSI Centre https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/nb/CleanCenterMaster.zip
Then open command prompt in admin mode and type sfc /scannow (has to be in admin mode or the command will not work as you need admin privileges run the command. This will validate the windows install for any error or file corruption and repair it.
then install MSI centre 2.0.14.0 https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/mb/MSI_Center_2.0.14.0.zip

With luck that will fix your issue.

Unfortunately it didn't work yet again.

So for more information the app downloads fine, I get the privacy notice, then it goes to the waiting for loading modules. Ive tried this method twice and both times it was waiting patiently for over 8 hours while I was at work. No issues on the command prompt scan.

Previously I've had issues with the install where not all modules delete, such as case service, and it causes issues with a fresh install.

I got a new message today however, where msi central service was abnormal and it asked me to restart my pc. I did this and yet again waited 8 hours for modules and no change.

Unfortunately guys none of these solutions have worked for me and I've given up and just have to suck it up. Sucks that I spent the money and nothing seems to work, and msi center just won't open after installing. I'm thinking that unfortunately next time I upgrade ilk be buying from another manufacturer. This has been my only issue is the support with this.

I have heard you can fix it by wiping drives but I don't want to do that.

can you generate a log with this tool after seeing the MSI Center abnormal error message?
The tool is for collecting MSI Center/Dragon Center/Creator Center log file for troubleshoot.

if the zipped log file is too big to attach to the post, feel free to upload it to a cloud drive and share it with us.

okay done a fresh install and tried to start. same screen, so here is as requested
it seems like Citrix Workspace will interfere with MSI Center installation. could you please try the following steps and let us know the result? :scratchchin:
Please Uninstall Citrix Workspace
and then reinstall MSI Center
get it up and running and then Install Citrix

hi your log seems to be missing some files so can't tell if you're using a remote Windows. note that MSI Center is not supported on windows remote desktop

Definitely not using Remote Desktop.

Been using MSI Center successfully for over a year now with my system,
ever since the 2.0.13 update however it's just stuck in an endless loop
when I try to install.
Video is a couple replies up

How about this log file?

do you have an old version of MSI Center installed in your system? if yes you can clean it up w this tool and then generate log again when you see the error.
MSI removal tool [newest version]
https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/nb/CleanCenterMaster.zip
please also disable VPN or anti-virus application temporarily when you're installing MSI Center.

Yeah I've done all of the above.

MSI is still running fine apparently,
even though I can't actually open it because of the update-loop.

I know because my systems lights inside are still functioning to the Mystic Light
settings I saved prior to all this starting.

About to go live but I'll try this all again before bed tonight and record it as well,
and upload the results.

Alright guys, steps I just completed after the 2.0.16.0 release;

1: Uninstalled previous installation via Windows Add/Remove programs
2: Downloaded https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/nb/CleanCenterMaster.zip
and ran it to make sure to clean out any old installation.
3: Downloaded 2.0.16.0 directly from https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/mb/MSI_Center_2.0.16.0.zip
4: Run as administrator the installer, and the same loop keeps happening that's in the prior video.
5: Ran the log program and uploaded it to this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Vcz9fYqV8-p3D-a2huC0HPyRlshYQAAM/view?usp=share_link

After the installer runs, it closes and says
1684193347684.png

I click exit, then click on MSI Center, and the Privacy Policy comes up again on a never ending loop.
There's never actually an error.

I've gone as far as to repeat all these steps and individually close any MSI Center services in the task manager,
still no luck.

If anybody can help I'll literally be forever in your debt.
I can record this if anybody thinks it'll help but it's literally the exact same
thing that happens in the video I linked above still:

@wegbore152e02d6 Man I feel your pain. Did steps you outlined in 1 & 2 then even went as far as removing remnants of files on the drive, running the CCleaner registry cleaner, reboot, then on to step 3 you mentioned and forward. At a loss here. Software is buggy.... cannot even download, or find, the old version keeps updating to the new one.
