MSI Center says "download failed" when trying to update the BIOS

I'm trying to update the BIOS (7D89v1F) for my MPG Z790 CARBON. using the MSI Center. It used to work perfectly in the past, but now I just get a "download failed" message and then the PC restarts without installking the BIOS.

Is this an error on MSI's end or is something wrong with my setup somehow?

I’m having the same error somehow. But the problem is my laptop isn’t on I’m trying to do bios through a programmer into the bios chip but I couldn’t find the right one yet. I do not need the latest updated one. But I don’t know how to find out which is the right one a genuine one for my laptop.. if you can help let me know.

I didn't understand a word you wrote, sorry. It seems like you have a different issue and should start a different thread.

I'm talking about MSI Center not downloading the bios update like it used to in the past. Can anyone confirm that MSI Center is at fault?

Is most likey MSI Center not working correctly may need to be updated
