When installing MSI Center and the SDK. BitDefender marks this as malware and blocks the behaviour. It says my computer is infected. Why?

Also, now I can’t seem to uninstall SDK or remove the MSI folder. My antivirus quarantines the files such as uninstall.dat or whatever, but when I restore it and try to move it into the MSI folder I can’t. Because I don’t have any permissions. I tried the program that was released on the forum but that did nothing at all.

BitDefender is just giving a false positive result i would report it to the people who make the software to program there software to not do that any more.

reason its doing that is because the software uses a small binary to be able to interface with the motherboard and graphics card to get readings from them and they are very common to be classed as malicious as they are accessing low level hardware.

its not malware

I had the same problem with Bitdefender. But thanks to Revo uninstaller I was able to return to Dragon Center 2.0.108.0 I'll wait until MSI Center bugs are gone.

I'm not saying it is. It's just weird that's all. I mean other temp reading software doesn't have this problem. I can't even enjoy the software or hardware. Even turning off my anti virus or adding it to an exception, doesn't make this work. It's also a pain to try and remove the MSI Center SDK. I can't remove the SDK at all. I can't even delete the folder. I don't have access to even move files from quarantine to try and fix the problem, since I have no rights apparently. My bad for trying to install this again, now I can't get rid of it, again.

I don't want Dragon Center. I want MSI Center. Since my setup actually works with that software. I can't uninstall the SDK at all. Revo uninstaller looks shady to me. BitDefender also blocks access to the webpage. So yea, no.

I am having the same problem. I installed MSI Center but Bitdefender will not let me run it. What is the solution to this?

I have no idea. I tried adding it as an exception and even turned off my virus shield and threat defense. Still didn’t work. I contacted BitDefender to let them know they’re flagging this as malware and etc. The only thing I can think of is uninstalling BitDefender and then installing MSI Center. But once you probably reinstall BitDefender it will probably cause the same issue again. And I’m not going without an anti-virus.
