Hello,
I just made a fresh install of my PC and reinstalled MSI Center (1.0.55.0)
I can't run it because of the following error : "MSI.CentralServer.exe is abnormal"

Of course, i tried to run it in administrator mode, to uninstall and reinstall, etc, etc... nothing works.

Can someone help ?

I'm in the same boat. Just built a new system and I keep getting "MSI.CentralServer.exe is abnormal"

I've used the removal tool supplied, removed cache and cookies, uninstalled, restarted, run as admin for MSI Center_1.0.55.0, restart PC, then get the error again.

win 10 21H2
i7 12700
32gb ram
msi z690i unify

I think it has been more of a problem since it went to Window Store like a lot of problems one gets with Win store Apps

Same MSI Center "abnormal" problem here. I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS with a MSI RTX 3090 Ti GAMING X TRIO. Following the steps indicated by Alan J T didn't fix the issue. Is this software supposed to work with another brand motherboards or only with MSI ones?

Have the same problem... tech support is useless. Has anyone solved this? Attached is what the error looks like.
I've done all the basic stuff. Removed it from Add or Remove Programs, ran the MSI uninstaller, and reset CMOS. Nothing has worked.
Way too far to attempt a reformat and reinstall of Windows. MSI what's the fix!

FYI...
Sorry to hear. Tech Support has been pretty much clueless. Their latest recommendation is to reinstall Windows. Go figure.

Yeah i'm not holding my breath. They don't strike me as the most useful department. Don't get me started on the quality of their MSI Center. It barely works when it's not crashing. The fact that it won't start now actually makes my computer run faster because of all the memory saved and the thing not locking up two cores on my computer due to a livelock.

Problem is I think they've put some firmware updater functions into the package and now I'll have to do without.

Folks, Tech Support won't escalate this issue to engineering because according them my ticket is the only one that has raised the issue. So, If you are in a similar situation please open a ticket.

Technical Support Response:
"...
Thanks for contacting MSI technical support.

Regarding your concern, this issue will be fixed in the next version of MSI center. This may take a while. Please wait for us. Even if this ticket has been closed, we will reopen and send you the latest MSI center. Thanks!

Thanks for your cooperation in advance!

Best Regards,

MSI Technical Support Team."

Hi Everybody,

Same issue here (since a couple of versions) and still experiencig it with actual 1.0.55
Managed to start MSI Center after a reinstalling it for just one time, after that thes issue happens again.

MSI X570 Pro - latest BIOS (HH), Win10

I am hoping for a new Version, which fixes the problem.
