Please reply to this email with specific issue you are experiencing. Hopefully this consolidated list can be made and will be seen my MSI and some fixes can be made. Please review previous posts and add, please don't repeat.

Update 18 January

1. From the launcher Fortnite does not launch correctly. Launching from windows works fine.
2. Lag is horrible in both the MSI Center M as well as the MSI Quick Action game bar when in game. Have to use these before launching game.
3. In Manual mode the TDP option should be a slider. Currently it only allows 8W, 17W and 30W. This negatively impacts battery life if you use more TDP than needed.
4. Launching games within MSI Center M does not allow any customization based on a game. It is simply a launcher. Please allow launcher customization based on TDP, custom button layout, etc.
5. The MSI Quick action bar, when it does display, sometimes does not allow interaction. Sometimes selection gets stuck on the brightness setting. This issue appears to be mitigated if you pause briefly before interacting with the Quick Action Bar.
6. Sometimes when you launch a game from the MSI Center M launcher, the game mode changes correctly. However, when you enter the game the A,B,X,Y buttons do not work nor does pressing the screen. The latest MSI Center M release might have fix this issue.
7. Fingerprint sensor usually doesn't work, 10% success rate. When it doesn’t work have to use pin
8. When you launch MSI Center M after startup or reboot you have to accept MSI Privacy Policy and MSI Services Terms of Use if you uncheck the "Allow MSI to collect, process, and use your product information in order to improve user experience" option under MSI Center M, Settings, General Settings. If you accept the policies and don't uncheck this box this issue doesn't occur. I don't want you to collect and process my information!

1. Some games simply do not launch correctly, I believe this is associated with the Intel GPU. All currently updates have been applied. This occurs either through MSI Center M or windows directly
2. Lag is horrible in both the MSI Center M as well as the MSI Quick Action game bar
3. The TDP option should be a slider. Currently it only allows 8W, 17W and 30W. This negatively impacts battery life if you use more TDP than needed.
4. Launching games within MSI Center M does not allow any customization based on a game. It is simply a launcher (that sometimes doesn't work), nothing more, that doesn't always launch your game. Allow customization based on TDP, button layout, etc.
5. The MSI Quick action bar, when it does finally display, sometimes does not allow interaction. Sometimes selection gets stuck on the brightness setting and you can't do anything else. Have to reboot to fix.
6. Sometimes when you launch a game from the MSI Center M launcher, the game mode changes correctly. However, when you enter the game the A,B,X,Y buttons do not work nor does pressing the screen. Manually changing to desktop and back to game mode doesn't work either. Have to restart the game and/or the device.
7. Fingerprint sensor usually doesn't work.
Wanted to ask a few questions myself as am looking to purchase the Claw 8 once it arrives in my country.

Games not being launched correctly, are these through Steam and other launchers such as Epic, Xbox etc? if so that sucks. I was also wondering, how is the game compatibility? Can these Intel drivers play a variety of titles? Older games and newer ones? or is it hit or miss? Appreciate any insight on these questions!

I hear some older titles have issues but intel is constantly improving drivers for it. I get mine on tuesday and i can report sny snags i run into.

My issue appears to be limited to Fortnite. Other Epic games, Steam and Ubisoft launch correctly. I plan on reinstalling Fortnite to see if the launcher is fixed.

Updates from my initial post.

1. From the launcher Fortnite does not launch correctly. Launching from windows works fine. Other Epic games launch ok.
2. Lag is horrible in both the MSI Center M as well as the MSI Quick Action game bar when in game. Have to use these before launching game. Having the real time monitor appears to the culprit for the extremely laggy MSI Quick Action bar.

6. Sometimes when you launch a game from the MSI Center M launcher, the game mode changes correctly. However, when you enter the game the A,B,X,Y buttons do not work nor does pressing the screen. The latest MSI Center M release might have fixed this issue.
7. Fingerprint sensor usually doesn't work, 10% success rate. When it doesn’t work have to use pin
8. When you launch MSI Center M after startup or reboot you have to accept “MSI Privacy Policy” and “MSI Services Terms of Use” if you uncheck the "Allow MSI to collect, process, and use your product information in order to improve user experience" option under MSI Center M, Settings, General Settings. If you accept the policies and don't uncheck this box this issue doesn't occur. I don't want you to collect and process my information!
9. In MSI Center setting up/recording macros, the software only allows recording physical Claw buttons. Keyboard options are not possible
10. As others have commented, entering sleep mode and then being wakened screws up being able to switch between game and desktop mode.

Agree with many of these points. Really annoying to keep having to accept the agreement after every bootup when I unclick to not collect my information. PLEASE FIX THIS.

When connecting external Xbox controller via Bluetooth, the console does not detect and it does not work in games. Found workaround by using Steam to launch games and using their Xbox Controller input option. This is because the gamepad is detected as an Xbox controller. PLEASE FIX THIS.

Have issues with Quick Action Bar not being responsive and the built-in launcher is terrible...luckily, plenty of 3rd party options out there (Check Github.

Kinda annoyed with these issues in a $900+ system as it seems your team hasnt tested the most obvious use cases very thoroughly. I have many MSI products and mostly positive things to say about the quality and functionality of them, so I assume these issues will be fixed, but please get your Dev team on this and do a bit more Q&A before pushing things out. AND PLEASE ALLOW US THE OPTION TO NOT HAVE YOU COLLECT OUR INFO without needing to accept the T&S every time I login

The Game Setting search isn't properly populating results - Need for Speed as an example as search team says 23 results but shows only 2, loading second page does nothing

With the new bios, MSI Center M update and latest Intel drivers for the MSI Claw 8:

Fixed:
1. Latest bios seems to have addressed the fingerprint sensor issues.
2. Privacy setting being turned off required you to re-accept Privacy Policy and Terms of Use after every restart
3. MSI Quick Settings game bar severe latency has GREATLY improved.
4. The system getting stuck in desktop mode when awaking from sleep has been addressed.

Remaining Issues:
1. From the launcher Fortnite does not launch correctly. Launching from windows works fine. Other Epic games launch ok. Need to allow manual changing the launch location
2. Lag for the MSI Quick Action game bar responsiveness could still use some tweaks.
3. MSI Center M updates sometimes don't install correct. Example with the new bios it should up as an update but installing bios from within MSI Center M didn't work. Workaround is to install drivers manually from MSI and Intel sites.
4. Be more timely showing updates within MSI Center M. Intel drivers update regularly on their website, but MSI Center M is delayed.

Enhancements:
1. In Manual mode the TDP option should be a slider. Currently it only allows 8W, 17W and 30W. This negatively impacts battery life if you use more TDP than needed. Add the option for additional Manual modes (ex. Manual 1 for 30W TDP, Manual 2 for 18W TDP, etc.)
2. In MSI Center setting up/recording macros, the software only allows recording physical Claw buttons. Keyboard keys and combinations are not possible
3. Launching games within MSI Center M does not allow any customization based on a game. It is simply a launcher. Please allow launcher customization based on TDP, custom button layout, etc. for each game.
