MSI Claw 8 AI+ Goodix Fingerprint Issue

The built-in fingerprint scanner will not work, it shows a driver to install within the MSI centre but will not install after running the CMD install as administrator.
I've reset and reinstalled Windows 11 fresh and reinstalled all other drivers but this Goodix will not do anything. Does not show within 'Device Manager' as there is no option for Biometrics. Attempted also to download directly from MSI drivers page, same thing happens of the CMD opens, doesn't show anything and then closes.

It had been working fine since I bought it back in September, never had any issues prior with anything else so this is very strange to just start.

Is there any fingerprint device showing under the device manager? If not, you should try to do EC reset.
Unplug the AC and shutdown the device > long press the power button for over 25 seconds > plug in the AC and power it on
After that, check if the fingerprint device shows under the device manager and if the function works to set up fingerprints.
If there is a yellow bang showing under the device manager, try to install the driver again and check.

Yes, No yellow bang,

Now just not using fingerprints as login option as it is not working properly.

MSi centre still showing fingerprint diver update but unable to install it

I got the same problem after setting fingerprints as a login option. Already reported to MSI, and waiting for their feedback.

Edit:
I've uninstalled the current Fingerprint driver, download and install the version on MSI website (3.12344.1.400). It works!

I have the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and the same problem as @haydenburn1115ae02df and @cmsjkun158102da and I solved following @Raju steps above and once restarted without the MSI Center, I entered Device Manager and removed the Goodix Fingerprint device (unistalled) under Biometric Devices. After a restart the update in MSI Center vanished and that's it

thanks gprilli8162002, yes msi center no longer shown the fingerprints diver now,

However, we will able to login ms windows sometime without any passcode or fingerprint

As anyone can access my ms windows with no login required.

Which mean fingerprints is not working randomly

This sounds abnormal, and it would be a Microsoft bug.
If the fingerprint is not working properly, Windows will ask for another way to log in to the system, such as PIN or password.

Pay attention that, normal behavior of fingerprint sensor is to read your finger as soon as you touch and press power button. So if it reads your finger correctly during this process, windows will load without asking your fingerprint, because it already scan it during boot.
So it may seem like you described.

i guess the issue may due to msi center, usually this auto login issue will cause msi center crashed after as well

if no this issue happen then msi center can startup correctly

Almost every time my auto login works, and center m crashed maybe 2-3 times during the last half year. Don't think it correlates somehow with fingerprint
