My msi Claw 8Ai+ has a problem, if I sometimes restart it my windows 11 bug. The task to open a new desktop (virtual desktop) opens by itself 2 or 3 times.
This looks more like a Windows 11 input / startup quirk, not a hardware issue.
On Windows 11, new virtual desktops can be triggered by Win + Ctrl + D. Even without a touchpad, a controller or key mapping service can briefly misfire during reboot and trigger it once or twice.
A few things to try:
Make sure Windows, controller FW, and drivers are up to date
Disable Fast Startup in Power Options
Try a full shutdown instead of restart
If it happens, you can close extra desktops with Win + Ctrl + F4.
It’s usually harmless and doesn’t affect performance.
