hi guys, so i just bought a rarely used MSI CLAW A8 from a reseller , then i change the default 1tb with my 2tb from Rog Ally Z1E, i installed all the required driver and deleted all Ally driver, but when i play every game, it always stuttering, for example when i set a game to 25w tdp, it will always drop to like 7-11w for a sec and then goes up to 25w again and stutter again, and the cycle goes on and on,

But then when i plugged in the charger and play,no stutter happen. What actually is the prob ..

So please, can someone help me, i cant play with this stuttering stuff going on...

My understanding is that you kept the Ally pre-installed operating system, but only deleted and reinstalled the necessary drivers? If that's all, it might be related to the Ally pre-installed operating system or its settings. You could quickly verify this by switching back to the original 1TB hard drive and the MSI pre-installed operating system to check if the same problem persists. If not, then it's likely related to the Ally pre-installed operating system or its settings.

Unfortunately i alr sold my ally yesterday, but yea everything alright when i use the ssd on the ally, and yes i keep the files but i uninstalled all the ghost driver and properties

Anyway on how to fix , coz even in older game i kept getting stutter

I suggest you back up your games and important data first, then format the disk, reinstall the Windows operating system, and then download all drivers and applications from the MSI website.

I have resetted my ssd to clean windows install and installed all the driver, but still, when i dont plugged it into a charger it still stutter, while when i plugged it in, the gameplay no stutter att all

As a PC enthusiast, I suggest the following: You can try visiting the MSI website, downloading and updating your BIOS and firmware, and checking if other drivers are compatible with the official versions. If the problem persists, you can export your system information from the MSI Center app. I can help check the driver version information. If you can share your power consumption settings, the game name, and a video showing the stuttering, this might be more helpful.

Of course, you can also try contacting official technical support or customer service for further assistance.

I already update all the drivers in MSI CENTER and from website but still got the problem. For the power consumption,i mostly used Ai Engine and Manual 25w tdp but yet still got stuttering for every game i play such as Forza, Crimson Desert and etc

How can i share my system information , video of the stuttering ya? Can i contact you by Whatsapp?

You can share a system information.txt file in this chat box, and videos of the stuttering can be shared on YouTube.

I have attached the video and system information here

The video shows low FPS and stuttering, though the system information reveals no obvious software-related discrepancies. Since your Claw is equipped with an AMD processor, the manual settings should technically involve SPL, SPPT, and FPPT values rather than a single "TDP" option. Please share screenshots of your specific settings so I can take a look.

I recommend reverting to the default settings first to see if that resolves the issue.

Additionally, please check your battery report: Open the command line by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting "Windows PowerShell (Admin)" or "Command Prompt (Admin)." Then, run the command `powercfg /batteryreport` and press Enter; the system will display the file path where the report is saved. Please share the battery's FCC value so we can check the level of battery wear.
