MSI Core Liquid 240R serial number not working

hello,

I have the cooler mentioned in the title but it's been making a very weird sound and it looks like the cooling performance is extremely bad (wasn't the issue when I first installed it) I am trying to send it in for repair since it should be under warranty, but I no longer have the box and I tried using the bar-code on the side like they suggested in their 'where to find serial number' but it doesn't work?

Anybody have any suggestions what I can do? The bar-code looks legit similair to the one they have but somehow just doesn't accept...

If you contact MSI support they should be able to register it for you. I might be wrong, but you might be out of luck, as you need to register your items with in a month from purchase. Still get in touch with them though

For global support queries you have to register at https://register.msi.com/. After registering and logging in go to "My Support" and "Ask For Support" which allows you to issue your problem.

I thought within the EU you're forced to give 1-2 year warranty on products regardless? For registering products I always assumed it was for some loyalty and extra year of warranty, nonetheless thank you, will try what u suggested.




edit; Just registered my product succesfully but when I try to apply for repair it's still giving me the error that my serial number is incorrect even thought I copy and paste it directly from my registered products and have 36 months of warranty ( lil over a year passed)

Yeah I had the same issue, I have to manually type it in, and try a few times and it went through on like the 3rd or 4th try.

As for the warranty, it starts from the date you purchased it. Regardless of when you registered it. The sooner you register something the more likely the company(who ever they are) will not ask questions when it comes to replacements etc.

Odd, tried it like 10 times now manually like 3-4 times and copy paste somehow still nothing. Had decent experience with MSI when it comes to repairs so I'm just going to wait till monday to contact them pobably just a bug in their system. Thanks anyways!
