You need to extract the .cab file first with winrar or 7zip.

I have notice under event log that some new Errors have pop up in the last few days from updating to 23H2
at the same time updating 7 INTEL DRIVERS on my MSI GE77HX the Error 131 Device Setup Manager Metadata staging failed
so i did some searching come to fine out i had some corrupt files that that SFC SCAN did not find
now the fix go to control panel, troubleshooting, others troubleshooters, windows update... run scan fixed all corrupt files Error is gone.

I would also recommend the program wushowhide to disable auto update on the intel graphics. This because if you use intel auto updater (or intel website) to update the Intel ARC driver windows update always kicks in and downgrades the driver to a much older one. Which in many cases you have to do multiple reboots unnecessary.

Update should run scan for windows update to clear corrupt files i have notice a big difference in event logs
SFC not picking the corrupt files in scan.... go to control panel, troubleshooting, other troubleshooters, windows update... run scan
it run for about 4 mins on my system to clear files. see if it works for your system you will see a big difference.

definitely yes on the Crosshair 15 A11U (which is 11th gen Intel based). works even for an MSI Crosshair 16 (13th gen Intel) laptop which that model is USA only; not even mentioned on the global MSI web site & only on the local usa MSI site)

someone in station-drivers forum recently obtained driver packages containing a 6.0.9581.1 uad msi driver, Nahimic APO4 v4.10.3.0 Driver w/ EXT v1.5.28.0 driver & Intel SST related drivers

eventually the old 6.0.9581.1 Realtek MSI driver did get released officially on the MSI web site since yesterday Dec. 14; listed for newly released MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo B1M laptop.

@erpman15ac02e2, I wonder what the differences are between these build numbers: MSI for my model uses the 1.
Intel® Dynamic Tuning 9.0.11401.39039 and 9.0.11403.39039, dates are exactly the same. All files are mismatching and device id's are the same. The same happens with intel framework. Do you have any clues ?

MSI also has a 6.0.9605.1 {NB/laptop} driver available on their web site, which is nearly the same as the MB/board version of the 9605 MSI driver package

In theory intel and nvidia are the oems because they supply the parts to msi. It’s not that msi created those intel or nvidia chips by them self.

the file name is the same but the inside coding is not, there is a lot ppl using the generic driver having problems, you can easily find tons of issues reported on intel and Nvidia fourm.
