I would also recommend the program wushowhide to disable auto update on the intel graphics. This because if you use intel auto updater (or intel website) to update the Intel ARC driver windows update always kicks in and downgrades the driver to a much older one. Which in many cases you have to do multiple reboots unnecessary.

To fix the realtek audio delay and plopping sound read this post.

I did notice that there is a small sound delay at the beginning of playing a sound (like a error message in windows that you hear for half, or the begin sound when windows starts). I did not bother about it because in games or playing movies i don't have a delay BUT i whas thinking what could be the cause. So i did some research of my own and after that i was looking online to confirm it (the sound has some sort of power saving as i thought). This regedit will fix the issue (found it online). After you changed the values you need to reboot in order to get it to work. I have tested this and i can confirm this solved my sound delay and the plopping sound.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0001\PowerSettings (This one is for the realtek card)
Wow you have gone above and beyond the call of duty for me son. I appreciate it thank you. You didn't have to do that. And yes you are correct windows startup sound is heavily delayed by at least 1 second. It is majorly inconvenient when you need a fast startup. Please note that i have no experience with Registry Editor so bare with me for bit.
This is what my screen looks like. I dont think its a one to one comparison What do you think? If it is, what should i do next?

Make sure the 0002 is your realtek driver. Click on the 0002 folder to find out.

There are 2 ways to change them, within the registery. Double click on the name on the right side and modify it. Removed the old value and change it for the new one. Reboot

Or

Export the regfile
1. right click on the powersettings folder on the left side and export it
2. right mouse click on the reg file (the one you saved) and open it with the text editor.
3. Change the old values to the newer ones
Old ones are:
"ConservationIdleTime"=hex:05,00,00,00
"PerformanceIdleTime"=hex:05,00,00,00
"IdlePowerState"=hex:03,00,00,00

New one are:
"ConservationIdleTime"=hex:ff,ff,ff,ff
"PerformanceIdleTime"=hex:ff,ff,ff,ff
"IdlePowerState"=hex:00,00,00,00
4. Save the edited reg file
5. Double click on it to install it
5. Reboot

realtek_audio_R.zip package for MSI desktop pc motherboards recently updated to version 6.0.9601.1 Tuesday 11/14
might also work on certain recent MSI laptop pcs

this old 6.0.9601.1 driver now has an NB/laptop variant on the MSI web site.

this old A-volute APO4 4.10.3.0 + Extension 1.5.28.0 driver is recently & officially available on the MSI web site as well.

new (2024) MSI Crosshair D14V laptops {14th gen Intel} released (no driver downloads posted for these yet except for the lone mouse driver - they'll come later this Jan. 2024)

no need to download them from 3rd party sites anymore and should be downloaded directly from MSI instead
Agreed, but the funny thing is contra already shared them like 3-4 weeks ago, the files he shares are taken from msi :ROFLMAO:

Intel® Innovation Platform Framework Extensible Framework - 2.1.10103.18

Backup on google drive, intel decided to remove it for whatever reason.
Intel®Bluetooth - 23.20.0

Backup on google drive, microsoft does not add the DTTE to the DTT driver.
Intel® Dynamic Tuning Technology Extension - 9.0.11404.39881

The new crosshair units have a nice wallpaper on the store page that does match with the colors from my crosshair 15 unit 😎. Seems they stole the idea from halo infinite though :ROFLMAO:

That does look pretty cool. It is surprisingly more fitting for our current ones more so than the newer ones I'll give you that! I still have the default Rainbow Six Extraction Background but am experimenting with Wallpaper Engine to make the backgrounds more vibrant.

Hey guys, long time no speak, glad to see you here @MichelN86 :)

I seem to be having some major instability since doing some of the latest updates and I'm trying to pinpoint down what caused it.

My CPU temps are skyrocketing even on idle. It's jumping to 90C + and drops to 50~ and goes constantly. Before the updates, on idle I would be at around 31-37C all times.

Anyone knows what might be causing this? I would rather roll back if possible on the specific drivers that might be doing this.

I rolled back the Nvidia back to the previous driver which was fine before all these updates. It didn't help.

I have an MSI Pulse 15 B13VGK (i9 13900H, with 64GB DDR5 and 990 Pro SSD, Nvidia RTX 4070 mobile)

Thanks
