I get the same results on LatencyMon regardless of the change. And to be totally honest, the speakers on this model are pretty poor in quality anyway. Even compared to the old MSI GP62-6QF Leopard PRO that i had just refurbished. I tried Mass Effect LE on both systems and the sound quality is night and day. Consequently all i do is connect to a smart tv and play it from there.

Sometimes the latency is fine other times its terrible. Its really situational.
It always did on my MSI machine since i bought it. Tried the stock drivers from msi up to the latest ones from now, same issue till the fix is applied. It has to do with power savings that can only be changed using regedit. Every time a audio driver gets updated you have to redo this.and such problems did not occur with versions 6.0.9599.1 & older.
Thank you. But why do we need this? How do I know if I have latency?Realtek audio delay fix.
You can fix this by using the regedit function and search for "ConservationIdleTime" or "PerformanceIdleTime" or "IdlePowerState". Check the left tab if it says realtek.
You will see this:

* My realtek is located under 0001, it is possible yours is stored under 0002, 0003 or another number.
2. Click on PowerSettings and change the values (old to fixed ones)
Old value:

3. Reboot!
** If you want to use a .reg file, just save it. don't forget to change the values to your own.
Backup:

Fixed audio:
Code:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0001\PowerSettings] "ConservationIdleTime"=hex:ff,ff,ff,ff "PerformanceIdleTime"=hex:ff,ff,ff,ff "IdlePowerState"=hex:00,00,00,00
Last thing, after every audio update you have to redo the steps posted above. If you update realtek, intel smartsound technology or the nahimic drivers you have to redo it.
You already notice it when your windows 11 is booting. The sound melody is not fully playing. You also notice it when your getting a error message or increase the volume and you don’t hear the sounds fully.Thank you. But why do we need this? How do I know if I have latency?
That's good to know. Thanks for the tip. To be honest, its been a while since i logged in so im out of the loop. I've decided to leave it as is for now. But after the latest updates and patches, it seams it makes no difference. @MichelN86's registry fix does go some way into reducing the latencey but. as of now, i use an external display for most things gaming related so its not a huge deal.maybe it's better to not update your Realtek audio driver beyond 6.0.9597.1 if you continue to experience such latency problems in versions 6.0.9601.1 & greater. might be best to stick with an older driver version that doesn't have such latency problems.
but major kudos to MichelN86 for making the Realtek audio delay latency reg fix. Gigabyte MB users are getting plagued by sound latency problems with Realtek driver versions from 6.0.9601.1 & newer (like with 6.0.9608.1 from this forum thread) and such problems did not occur with versions 6.0.9599.1 & older.
Well your machine is 99% identical to mine and i don’t have those latencey issues at all. Prehaps a program (antivirus or something) is causing it.That's good to know. Thanks for the tip. Definitely the case. But for the record, first thing i did was remove the pre-installed Norton Antivirus so that's not it. I use Windows defender. If anyone thinks that's either a good Idea or bad idea, please let me know. Problem is, the delayed sound cues are really noticeable when dialogue boxes are prompted. Perhaps I can run another Latencymon test when i have time and see what comes up. Simply put the time it takes between a dialogue box to pop up and sound cue for said dialogue box is almost a second delay. Again, it doesn't bug me so much but it is jarring and definitely problematic if you are working with audio programs. For the price you pay, that's not cool to say the least.Well your machine is 99% identical to mine and i don’t have those latencey issues at all. Turn off hags (Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling) and change TDR timeout delay in registery. Since i have changed those 2 options i had zero bluescreen issues or nvlddmkm errors.Hello MichelN86 , i got a problem with my laptop msi katana 17 i7 12th and rtx 4060 , it crashes on every game i play , i tried a lot of things (update graphics dirver , clean uninstall graphics driver , install visual c++ redist , directx , change registers , installing windows ..) in the event viewer i got this error:
"La description de l’ID d’événement 0 dans la source nvlddmkm est introuvable. Le composant qui a déclenché cet événement n’est pas installé sur l’ordinateur local ou l’installation est endommagée. Vous pouvez installer ou réparer le composant sur l’ordinateur local.

and this "Le pilote d’affichage nvlddmkm ne répondait plus. "
i dont know what to do i tried nvidia graphic driver version 551.23 and nothing changed
i tested the graphic card with "Unigine superposition Benchmark" and no crashes
Hey bro it doesnt work , i also updated Intel® Graphics - 31.0.101.5382Turn off hags (Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling) and change TDR timeout delay in registery. Since i have changed those 2 options i had zero bluescreen issues or nvlddmkm errors.

I would also recommend the program wushowhide to disable auto update on the intel graphics. This because if you use intel auto updater (or intel website) to update the Intel ARC driver windows update always kicks in and downgrades the driver to a much older one. Which in many cases you have to do multiple reboots unnecessary.

I'd like to know if you have a solution and if you have a link to download the latest driver updates for my PC model, ,because I don't know if the drivers you shared are compatible with my pc.
Thank you in advance for your help

Does your system have the WMI Provider driver listed in device manager ? Maybe you should start first with wat model you have ?I can't get the CAB files to install the drivers, I am extracting them but I am getting the following error (for example, with Intel® Management Engine (WMI Provider)):
"MEWMIProv.inf: Failed to add driver to the system. Error 0x00000002: The system cannot find the file specified."
This error repeats for each folder I select that's been extracted from CAB file
I can't find the associated device extensible framework, I just updated IPF but I still have the same problem, except that I no longer have an error in the event viewer. I installed the IPF drivers by going to each of the 4 drivers and selecting the unzip file, because the Dism command doesn't work even with a RestoreHeath. I'm on windows 11.Did you try the latest download links posted here ? Post 1 is outdated by now.
