I would also recommend the program wushowhide to disable auto update on the intel graphics. If you use the intel auto updater (or intel website) to update the Intel ARC driver windows update always kicks in and downgrades the driver to a much older one. Blocking driver updates DOES NOT prevent the intel GPU driver from downgrading! you really need wushowhide for this.

Realtek audio delay fix
* Block Windows 11 driver updates

Q: Why are some names marked bold ?
A: Because this is how i like to show what got updated compared to my previous posts.

Q: Why does this post have Realtek Audio, Nahimic and it's components separately posted compared to this post ?
A: Because the package MSI posted has everything included, MSI does not update often so i switch to Microsoft Update Catalog and get the updates separately.

Q: There are 2 drivers uploaded on google drive, are the drivers legit ?
A: Yes they are, i know someone who get his hands on msi drivers faster then MSI shares on their own website. Because MSI is very late in updating (if they even update ) and Microsoft Update Catalog does not have them i made a choice to upload them on the google drive.

Hey Michel, I'm in trouble. I tried installing this Intel® Smart Sound Technology latest driver and I got error messages, and it deleted the entire Intel® Smart Sound Technology drivers from my computer. Now I have no sound at all and trying to install it again isn't working. What can I do? I don't seem to have a restore point as for some reason my system turned that feature off. Am I screwed?

Edit: Ok I'm not totally screwed. I rolled back the Intel Smart Sound Technology BUS driver and it brought back all the files. For some reason I was not able to do the proper install for this new driver. Any idea how come?

Don't forget to install nahimic as well. If that driver is not installed you will not get any sound at all.

Damn, the new pop! os looks so great 🤤🥰. I had 21.04, 21.10 and 22.04 installed on my acer machine. But it was not that smooth as how it is now. The developers got rid of gnome and created their own cosmic desktop. They did an amazing job so far, it’s still in alpha stage. When this gets released my Windows partition might get deleted on my MSI machine 😅.

Hey again @MichelN86 ,

Even with the Nahimic driver it didn't work.

Now I have a bigger problem. Somehow my Microphone drivers got deleted completely and my laptop's microphone no longer works. What can I do about this? I have been trying to look for a solution for the past 3 hours and still have not found one.

Please if you can help me, what can I do to retrieve my drivers for the mic so that it works again? I have no "Microphone Array" option at all anymore.
Thanks

Since when did those drivers disappear? Did you install the bluetooth driver ?

Go to your notebooks page and download the older drivers to see what happens.

It just disappeared today, I didn't install bluetooth drivers since last week I think but I believe they are the current ones. Microphone was working fine until this morning

Sadly still nothing, even with reverting to older drivers of Realtek

Edit: I used the Realtek page for Audio Codecs and it resolved it. Now my drivers are outdated, but at least my sound works.

Realtek Audio - 6.0.9665.1

about this older 6.0.9665.1 driver version from MS Update -
supported hardware ID listed for this version is the following:
Code:
intelaudio\func_01&ven_10ec&dev_0274&subsys_14621432

not sure if this specific ID will be for an msi laptop, handheld/tablet, aio desktop pc or mini pc - ID 14621432 is listed in the hdxsstmsi.inf file
edit: doing an MS Catalog search for that specific ID shows versions 6.0.9614.1, 6.0.9629.1 & 6.0.9665.1.
MSI hasn't yet released a full 6.0.9665.1 driver version on their web site.

I am using the Pulse 15 B13VGK-287US
That one should use UAD drivers, not the HDA from the realtek site. As i said before, download the older drivers from your model on the msi site and check if that is working. Then dowload the updated ones and try again.

1st realtek
2nd intel smartsound
3rd nahimic

I have the same laptop and have never experienced any issues with Intel Smart Sound. I've included my sound driver installation order below. Whether I use the official (outdated) drivers on the MSI website or the latest drivers here, they have always worked. The only thing I have done differently with my laptop is back up and remove the OS restore partition. I always prefer fresh OS installs without the additional junk. However, I doubt that makes any difference.

1). Intel Smart Sound Technology Driver
2). Realtek Audio Driver
3). MSI Nahimic Restore Tool
4). Realtek OED Driver
5). Intel MVA Driver

Thanks Chris,

Are you currently updated with all of the latest drivers posted above by Michel? I'm kinda hesitant to go through it all again as I spent about 12 hours yesterday trying to sort out the mess I found myself in.
Earlier today I updated my BIOS to the 115 version, and sound overall seems to be cleaner with less distortion now, but I'm on the older drivers from the official MSI page. Would like to update to these newer ones but the amount of stress I went through yesterday and lost hours I was hoping to use for work that went into this, I wouldn't wanna go through it again. I will keep in mind your installation order as I'm sure I screwed up somewhere along the way with how I originally went about it. I think I installed and uninstalled and then reinstalled and so-on about 30-40 times yesterday. Thank you @MichelN86 as well for your support.
