I would also recommend the program wushowhide to disable auto update on the intel graphics. If you use the intel auto updater (or intel website) to update the Intel ARC driver windows update always kicks in and downgrades the driver to a much older one. Blocking driver updates DOES NOT prevent the intel GPU driver from downgrading! you really need wushowhide for this.

Thanks Chris,

Are you currently updated with all of the latest drivers posted above by Michel? I'm kinda hesitant to go through it all again as I spent about 12 hours yesterday trying to sort out the mess I found myself in.
Earlier today I updated my BIOS to the 115 version, and sound overall seems to be cleaner with less distortion now, but I'm on the older drivers from the official MSI page. Would like to update to these newer ones but the amount of stress I went through yesterday and lost hours I was hoping to use for work that went into this, I wouldn't wanna go through it again. I will keep in mind your installation order as I'm sure I screwed up somewhere along the way with how I originally went about it. I think I installed and uninstalled and then reinstalled and so-on about 30-40 times yesterday. Thank you @MichelN86 as well for your support.
Yes, I am using everything above except the Intel® iCLS Client, although I will probably install that, too. Hopefully, you can resolve your issue without having to reset your entire system.

Intel® iCLS Client
That one came in with windows update for me.

@TS35, Intel Smartsound Technology has 2 versions. The 10.xx.x.xxxxx and 20.xx.xxxxx.xx. Your unit uses the same driver as mine so i really wonder what is going on on your machine.

Thanks, Michel. I read that you acquired it through a Windows update, so I was giving it a few days to see if I would receive it, too. If it isn't machine-specific, I'll install it.

When I first bought this laptop last year I remember going through a process to try to remove the annoying part of Nahimic that was always coming up on Windows Start. Maybe doing that caused some issues for the drivers. But I don't remember at all what I did back then.

You mean the program it self opening ? They already fixed that 1 year ago.

Yep! That's what it was lol. So when I removed it I remember having to go through a bunch of guides online to finding out how to get rid of it, and I think I deleted some stuff in the registry, maybe, not so sure. Maybe that's the reason everything got messed up for me with the drivers. I am afraid to mess with it now after all I went through yesterday, but I really want to update eventually.o_O

Ever thought of updating the app ???

Everything is outdated, even the driver.

Realtek Audio Universal Service - 1.0.755.0:

Realtek Audio Universal Effects Component - 13.440.1136.288:
Morning Michel. A quick question. Are you sticking with the individual Realtek components going forward, or are you still providing the complete EXE packages when they are available?
I am considering sticking with one or the other. Going between the two involves a complete cleanup/installation of all my audio drivers so they work correctly. Thanks in advance :)

If msi ever releases a updated version i will share those….msi however is not a company that updates fast enough 😅.

The ones i share now are universal/all current machines (acer, dell, hp and so on).

Avoid new Nvidia driver 555.99, I was using 555.85 and had an issue in The Last of Us part 1, Not enough RAM and VRAM.
Of course the game crashed and was unable to go past the error, every single login, in either 555.85 or 555.99.
My laptop that had this issue, GP66 12UGS, it has 32GB of RAM and a RTX 3070 Ti with 8GB of VRAM.
Upgraded from 555.85 to 555.99, issue still there, also had frequent crashes in World of Warships in 4K (HDMI), with 555.99.
Downgraded to 551.86 again, now not seem to have any issues, my GP68HX 13VH, have installed 551.86 also, no issues.

"Drivers 512.95, 516.94, 517.48, 522.25, 526.86, 528.49, 532.34, 537.58, 551.86 are generally considered stable/consistent by the community. Other driver versions worth trying despite issues include 536.99, 537.13, 537.42, 546.17(W10), 551.23(W10), 552.22"

Nvidia 551.86

MSI strengths are in it's hardware, it never was in it's software and I doubt that it will ever be in the future also.

No troubles with this Version on my mashine, but seen the feedbacks on this update.
Nvidia replied somewhere that they are looking into this.
But I‘m not quite sure, if the problems are game related, or even because of some „tuning“ and „oc“ from the users themself.

Well I was talking about my 2 laptops that I tried with these drivers, not a desktop PC!
Didn't have the time yet to confirm with my other laptops, my old desktop, I only use as a server in the basement.
If you don't have any issues with your desktop PC, then I guess it doesn't concern you!
