* The bold marked driver names are the ones that got updated compared to my previous all-in-one post.

I would recommend the program wushowhide to disable auto update on the intel graphics driver and i highly recommend O&O ShutUp10++ to disable all the spyware/telemetry Microsoft added in Windows 10/11.

*
Realtek audio delay fix
* Block Windows 11 driver updates

So today i tried Pop! OS 22.04 on my MSI Crosshair 15 B12UGSZ and i must say, i never have seen a live environment running that fast. All drivers are loaded on default, nvidia, intel gpu, sound, bluetooth, wifi and so on. All the FN keys are working, fan, sound, keyboard and so on. It's a matter of time before i ditch Windows 11 aside. The sounds are working better on linux then it does on Windows, much louder and no need of third party apps.

The time is ticking....

Thanks for the video.
That looks really good.
I have a question.
Where can I find out if my EA game will work on Pop! OS ?
And what does it look like with the localization of individual languages ?

From my experiance, origin/ea games app is working through lutris. You need proton-ge to get the games to run. I made a tutorial in the past on the zorin forums. Mass Effect Legendary Edition for sample i did finish under Pop! OS 22.04.

For better source: protondb -> https://www.protondb.com/ and search for the ea game you want to know if it works or not.

Languages for OS you mean ? Dutch was great.

I am glad to see that the amount of games has increased and seems to be more and more reliable.
After a close inspection of the list, I see that more of the games I play are there, but many seem to still be absent.
Good to see, we are much closer to the day we can ditch MS, but we aren't there yet.

Thanks for the video!

Might give it a try during the Xmas holidays on one of my older laptops, if I can find the time that is.

The site posted what got tested on the steam deck, the games that are not listed might work (or not). That has to be tested :). The games i played back then all worked, except Halo Infinite (at launch). Now i see people got it to run, so i have no problem to swap from Windows to Pop! OS ;).

Some samples:
Mass Effect series - Gold
Halo series - Silver (1 Game)/Gold (3 Games)/Platinum (1 Game)
Star Wars Series - Silver (5 Games)/Gold (25 Games)/Platinum (11 Games)
Tomb Raider series - Gold/Platinum
Commandos series - Gold/Platinum
Call of Duty series - Borked (5 Games)/Silver (2 Games)/Gold (12 Games)
Doom series - Gold (3 Games)/Platinum (2 Games)
Wolfenstein series - Gold (4 Games)/Platinum (7 Games)

Mike, while I was browsing here on the forum I read you bought some 990 Pro 4tb SSDs. How do you like them & do you use for the "OS". I have 2 2TB ones (like 'em) & now thinking about going to larger ones.
Next, drek4 got me going. Is there anymore Easter eggs in the bios menu. Undervolting/overclocking is music to my ears, thanks guys!
Note, that poor poor Russian guy, how come so few posts for his drivers? You hit the nail on the head about that, Mike. Point to the source not a Ad-ladden file server.
Of course up there in Sibera, things are done differently.

I have 2x 4TB Samsung 990 pro and I love them 😍.

1 is used for the os, the other one for installed games. It’s overkill i know, wanted to max out everything on this laptop.

Speeds are great too, i have zero issues with the drives.

Samsung is pretty much top dog in my book, I always try to have a Samsung with DRAM for the OS, if ever your OS drive goes bad on you, you will have better luck at winning the lotto,
than salvaging anything afterwards from a DRAMless drive, I got several 980 Pro 2TB and one 990 Pro 2TB, they are awesome for speed, reliability and endurance.
If you want to save a few bucks, you do that on the second SSD, the one for games and videos, but even then, you want to avoid crap, time is more precious than money.

Well what is your exact laptop model and CPU you have in there?
You can change the AC Loadline and changing the PL1/PL2 always helps, MSI always seem to crank it up so that the CPU acts like a wild stallion.

Well gold, platinum and native I can live with, but borked and silver, is a no go for me, didn't live through 6 recent months of Nvidia hell, to live another similar event.
I will try to see if I can get more info on my other games performance on that specific OS.
Thanks!

Silver might be the status for games that requires EAC, while single player works just fine...mp on the other hand might have a problem. Which game(s) are you looking info for ? i might do a search as well.

That's mighty generous of your part to offer, but don't feel under pressure, it's not a project that I will complete short term.
I was thinking of using my GS65 to change it to Linux from here to Xmas, to see the reliability long term.

Main games: Days Gone, Doom Eternal, Last of Us part 1, World of Warships, The Division 2 (Warlords of New York included), Far Cry 6 and AC Valhalla.
My other main games are already in the list.

Secondary games: Doom 3, Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries, Metro Exodus, AC Origins, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Ghost Recon Breaking Point, For Honor, Witcher 3 and Anthem.
My other secondary games are in the list.

Awesome, you are a true gentleman, I'm in your debt, I'll make sure to keep this in my bookmarks!
Yes I must agree, Linux has improved a lot, so I feel more confident going ahead with my plan, again many thanks to you, for your help!
