need to install older versions of the APO4 & MSI Extension drivers first before updating to the newest versions thru Device Manager

it's not showing up in the Firefox web browser that I'm using
Yes well Firefox has some issues here, same as Opera has others and other browsers seem not immune to having issues also.
I guess the lack of time and monetary effort to maintain the forum, seems to be a factor to these issues.

A "report" button in the lower left corner? All I see in the lower left corner is a white triangle about cookies. Opera GX, no problems here.
Report, never needed it. I see the "Contact US" on the right. Anyway I think that poster is gone too.
"need to install older versions of the APO4 & MSI Extension drivers first before updating to the newest versions thru Device Manager"
People still try to do this? OMG ! My opinion, while this might of worked in days far away & long gone.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone as away to update Windows 11 for anything/any drivers.
Well I did some checking on Intel drivers, nothing new out there, but I didn't make it thru the whole list today.
With the release of 24H2, I think this has impacted other driver releases. They might have their hands full.
So the 2.0.48.0 MSI center is having it's share too. I just DL it from the Store yesterday, then promptly denied it's install after coming here.
2.0.46.0 bad, but the fix, 2.0.47.0 is working for me. Which reminds, I have to look for older versions of the MSI Dragon Center.
The last 2 updates for it reads the fans improperly in User mode. I run the fans all the time, I was using a setting of around 20% for both fans at idle. Now that is impossible because inaccurate readings by the Dragon Center, all over the place with unrealistic readings. But older versions did not give these "fake" readings.
What I think is with all the problems with 24H2 this in turn has presented problems to other versions of Windows. If older versions are running too smooth more people will dump 24H2 & go backwards. I might just cool it myself on the updates from Windows Update & the Store again. Why mess up a good thing.
Thanks for the Nahimic update, I'll install that one.

Here is a few older DC versions.

Why mess up a good thing.
Because that is the Microsoft way :deadlaugh:

Nahimic APO4 driver version 4.12.5.0 + A-volute MSI Extension driver version 1.5.62.0 {download here}

whoops, I didn't get a chance to edit/change the download link to this one as I have re-posted this one a few days later.
the link from my previous post is no longer working.
here's the new link to the Nahimic APO4 driver version 4.12.5.0 + A-volute MSI Extension 1.5.62.0 driver (with *.ps1 powershell install module files added for those doing a "clean" or fresh install on top of nothing or no previous/old versions installed)

and

a new Realtek audio driver version was just released by MSI some moments ago on Jan. 24 - version 6.0.9771.1 (released for some of the newest MSI business class laptops like Commercial & Modern series)

Nahimic ? "doing a "clean" or fresh install on top of nothing or no previous/old versions installed)". Ok, nothing fresh for me except veggies now & then.
Usually I just cross my fingers click on the Nahimic Restore Tool & hope for the best, darn darn , most of the time that works.
Then do a check at "My" Windows Update Tool aka WuMgr, then the MS Store to see if there is anything else.
When I have to remove Nahimic, it usually is because of audio problems that one would never wish for except on their enemies.
The only one giving audio problem right now is my 10th Gen. The Realtek APO that I was using no longer works, kills the audio.
So plan B was used, it works, kinda & I gave up trying to figure what went wrong. This falls back to my claim, that a Windows OS is good for about 2 years.
Then it starts to falls to pieces. Times up on this one. That one is 22H2 so I might just put in a new install of 23H2.

Thanks drek4 for the older Dragon Center, yes the older ones were giving more accurate readings on the minimal fan settings, the new versions are all over the map.
In fact it can give readings that the fans are incapable of spinning at, 6000 to 60,000 rpms, when the fans at 20% should be 1500-1800 rpms.
The newer versions, CPU is fine at 20% by itself, then setting the GPU fan to 20% puts both fan readings into chaos mode, but only at that minimal setting.

The MS Store, well the MSI Center should work in your 10th Gen laptop. No it does not.

Would most of this also work for the MSI Sword 15 A12UGS by chance? (I'm at work and can't cross-reference at the moment but I just ordered mine last month and started to tinker with it finally)

Thank you,

-Nem

@ TheNemeses: best to do some homework. Intel Smart Sound Technology, Intel® Management Engine Interface #1, Intel® Dynamic Tuning Technology, etc... can change with older/newer processors.
But other updates, can be more generic. Example, just like Windows Update issues updates for numerous computers (laptops & desktops) a good portion of the the updates listed here will work the same way. My 1st advice would be learn, use & set System Restore Points. On a learning curve, do a little at a time. Example if one updates everything & problems arise, it will be harder to find which one caused it. Good luck & watch your Event Viewer for any problems.
Now as I talked about problems, on my newer MSI AMD laptop I turned off Windows Security/Device Security/Core Isolation/Memory integrity/Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection & Microsoft Vulnerable Driver blocklist. After updating everything possible I turned those settings back on. Windows rejected my way of updating. None of the 3 can be turned on again. Funny ha, ha. I got my 1st blue screen of death, if you could even see it. The laptop's "Blue Screen of Death" was unreadable. Well, Safe Mode & Shawn Bink's Registry hacks for the 1st 2 (Memory integrity/Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection) saved me. If I remember correctly all 3 of these settings are disabled on all my other laptops for a similar reason, but I never had the Blue Screen of Death until the AMD. There is one more setting that goes with this, Control Panel/Network & Internet/Internet Options/Security tab/Custom/Miscellaneous/Launching applications and unsafe files, set to Enable (not secure). These settings listed are Windows way of stopping one from updating "their" computer except thru Microsoft/Windows Update, cause they have a better way of controlling "your" computer. Sure they do, right? All my laptops have all these settings listed turned off or disabled & no I do not think Microsoft/Windows Update have the better way. My advice is be careful out there, know the websites you visit, download & install from. For me, my only problems have come from Microsoft's own built-in "We own you" security.
A new Intel display driver, that was quick, I didn't even install the prior one. Looks like that was a good choice.

So I was just visiting one of the websites I download games from, silly people "Tricks are for Kids". The game won't load, files are missing, gone. But, but I downloaded it 3 times? This is exactly what I was talking about in the above post. Windows Security/Virus Protection/Internet Options Security all have the power to silently remove any/all files that it deems unsafe, even if they are downloaded for their own Catalog site. What do these files have in common? Only that they are downloaded off the internet.
Also it is a known fact the having "Core isolation" enabled will guarantee lower game frame rates.
Oh & I got the gentleman's name wrong.
